I absolutely love the way that you filmed this; it genuinely feels like I am catching up with my best friend, and the cuts felt seamless. Also, side-note…that honeysuckle paint color is gorgeous. It’s so refreshing to see someone who lives in a house with character, and wants to play it up even more. Your bathroom is literally stunning!

I used valspar paint once and thats when i learned that you cant put latex paint over oil based paint without it just peeling off when it dries (unless you prep for it) . Idk what kinda walls you have but layering valspar over behr paint was a mistake for me. Just something to be careful of :) Love the color choices

Here’s an idea for your bathroom medicine cabinet: I also had one of those bathroom cabinets in the wall in my old bathroom and I took it all out, replaced the inside with thin wood boards, stained them, added shelves and instead of adding a mirror door, I put hinges on the back of a wood picture frame from IKEA and used that as the new door! So it just looked like there was a picture hanging on the wall but it was secretly a medicine cabinet!

I grew up in very modest apartment,,,,the trauma of roaches 🤢 We bought our home 6 years ago and had it exterminated and still saw some stragglers …we kept no food outside of the fridge/ airtight containers, no dirty dishes in the sink and took the trash out every night religiously for a little while and we put those little roach houses in the trash can and under every sink and the washing machine and the garage I replaced them every few months and now I replace when I remember lol have not seen any since then and we have pets and children lol

I'm the same way with roaches. I could tell SO many stories. Rooms I have avoided for weeks and months at a time because there was a roach in it. I have also woken my mom up from a dead sleep so she can kill them. She doesn't mind. Last summer I had come from work and was talking with my mom in her bedroom. We hear one FLY across the room and land on her desk. I bolted as she tried to kill it but lost it. A few days later I came from work and went to use the bathroom. Mid pee I look up at the wall and there it is. I tried not to vomit and grabbed my mom to kill it. It's been a year and I still look at the spot on my wall and get queasy. We hired an exterminator to spray once a month this summer. Haven't seen one yet thank god. Also, don't ever move to the south lol.

Not sure if you’ll see this or if you’ve checked this out before, but the Federal government gives local governments a lot of money to address problems with lead paint, which is then passed on to homeowners. This usually has no cost for homeowners. I don’t live in California, but the lead rehab grants my city government gives out usually require you to live in the house for five years, and then you don’t have to pay any of it back (and there’s no interest). It might be something to consider.

I also have a college cockroach trauma story. I was in a shared student and residential apartment complex. It was infested with them. One time a cockroach crawled on my pillow and another time one crawled on my face. We sprayed multiple times and nothing happened. After several emails to housing, and one strongly worded at 2am, I got to move out. My roommate decided to stay, which I still don't understand.

Maybe it's because I've only ever lived in rentals/ known people who live in rentals so ive never really been in houses with pictures and frames on the wall but is it typical to have frames/ art/ photos in a bathroom? And what would the photos or the art be of? This isn't hate I'm just genuinely trying to visualise as I've never considered that people frame things in bathrooms

This is going to be gross, but always wash your shoes after stepping on a roach. Their eggs can travel via your shoe even after you kill the main cockroach.
@JessicaDanielle16322 жыл бұрын
I heard that you shouldn’t squish them…Because their eggs or babies or whatever could be inside and then when you squish them the eggs will transfer onto your shoes and then hatch (whatever they do) and you will have a problem (you’re welcome for the nightmare fuel) 🙈
