Growing up, we had a lake house at Lake Gaston, NC. Regardless of what we caught, bass, blue gill, catfish, or carpenter, my Mom would cook it up for us. If we picked blackberries, she'd make a cobbler. Mom's know that food is love. Bless you Tara!!
@scottjohnson3205 ай бұрын
Carp, not carpenter. The days were spent swimming, sailing, skiing, tubing, and fishing. No TV back in those days, so nights were card games and board games. That was 45 years ago. A great time to be a kid!!

Although I don't always comment, I never miss yours or J and G Camping videos. You can always count on a thumbs up from me. I used to have friends that I would visit in Houma and Lake Charles, actually, Iowa, Louisiana but they have all passed away now, and at 80 years old I will never make that trip again. (I live in Virginia Beach). I even rented a dozer and built a 23 acre crawfish pond for my friend in Iowa. I can't begin to express how much you folks bless my soul every time I watch one of your videos. I especially enjoy Tara and her love for fishing. It goes without saying that even at my age I think she is cuter than a speckled puppy! LATER!

Drake is a blessed young man to be able to have that up bringing, Not many kids will have the chance to experience that, what a shame, That will bode well in Drakes adult life. The crawfish looked scrumptious, had my fill this year, but can u ever get enough. Oh by the way, when I was a kid we called those grasshoppers the devils horses. U don't see them in civilization anymore, nor do u see red wing black birds, now I only see them in the marshes. U guy's and Gals have a Blessed week. Can't wait for the next one.
