Mavs changed strategy, they used to do the opposite, completely deliberate, it wasn’t a casualty that Kyrie was always doing better at the closing, Luka was opening setting the stage and Kyrie was closing when the opponent is tired and the game is open. But today, Mavs switched strategy, they come up with the unexpected.
@LC-jq7vn4 ай бұрын
Nah brother, Kyrie knows and is just being humble. If he doesn't, he will by Saturday because everyone is speaking about it. Even the announcers spoke about it. Kyrie could have dropped another 10-15 if he was forced too but Luka took over and they stay out of eachothers way when one takes over because they trust the other and aren't trying to be selfish about stats. I would be surpised if Kyrie doesn't go 100 miles an hour each first half from now on. The fact of the matter is that Dallas game plan is to force them to take 3's and lock the paint down just like against OKC. And since the trade deadline no one in the world has been better at it. Wolves didn't take 50 3's for the hell of it. They had no choice.

What do all the great defenses do? Take away your best weapons and/or best schemes and plays. Some can say that’s what the Wolves gave them, but to me from watching the game it seemed that’s what Mavs prepped for and took. Kyrie kept putting pressure on the defense. Refs played a huge role in the Mavs win, too. I counted at least 5 phantom calls that helped the Mavs in the 1st half alone. And 3 or 4 no-calls when they blatantly fouled the Wolves on the other end. Then, the bias was made even more obvious when every challenge goes Mavs way (that ridiculous challenged call when they called a foul on Conley for a light tap with his finger, even after watching the replay, should warrant suspicion from even the most hard-core Mavs fans) I turned it off after that. When the refs have THAT much control, it's clear what the outcome will be.

Maybe cuz he went to a game 7 with the defending champs is the reason he’s tired

@@slushygod09 the Mavs missed 20+ wide open 3s. The score should have been 140-102. I don’t think the Wolves stand a chance. I dont see the wolves winning one game TBH.

I say in 6. Wolves shown they can come back but I agree. MAVS got this. Luka looking like he 100%, Kyrie is locked in, and the rest of the team is in play off mode. We'll see who ever in the finals.

Wolves gonna have really tough time with Luka and Kai. Luka literally can overpower any of those guards just backing them down. And Kyrie just puts on offensive and defensive masterclass consistently.

Considering Luka doesn’t have to guard, Ant should defend their livability as well.

Mavs and Wolves both have equal chances to win this series. The problem with Wolves today was they were slightly fatigued and Kyrie and Luka capitalised on that. The game was lost in the final few minutes and the fresher and well rested team edged it out. Wolves need to recover quickly. And they do have youth on their side so I am assuming they will take game 2 but I am telling you this series will be back and forth.

Chuck talking about bludgeoning defensively the games changed even the bigs of today like Jokic, Giannis, Porzingis, Ant Davis, KAT ect are all looked at offensively. They’ve all become technically better so all defensive guys like Jrue aren’t recognised unless they put up offensive numbers, also the players are softer today!
