@Yessir707 Exactly -- Jerry Krause's (the Bulls' GM) ego was so fragile he couldn't stand it that hardly anyone knew his name while everyone knew who Phil was. MJ made it clear if Phil left, he would leave too. And even before the Bulls' final championship season (97-98) Krause was so angry/jealous of Phil he said he would never extend Phil's contract under any circumstances. He relented for one year, which led to the Bulls' final championship in 98. Jerry Krause and Jerry Jones. Their own worst enemies.

Everyone in the Warriors team can relate to Steve Kerr, from the superstar unto the bench players. Kerr played as a role player but he is one of the best shooter of his tike, making Steph and Klay believe in his coaching. As a role player, guys like Poole, Wiggins, GP2, are challenged, because they know their coach had contributed to 2 different championship teams off the bench and as a starter. Veterans could relate, too, because we all know how experienced Coach Kerr in winning culture as a player. Everyone can root to their coach because they know Kerr did something as a player that they can connect into. I think that’s what makes him different compared to other coaches, plus he was also coached by two greats in the name of Phil Jackson and Greg Poppavich.
@4kdefinition702 жыл бұрын
you hit it on the head. they respect kerr. for his experience, for his cool demeanor when things go south, he grills them when they are messing up he holds them accountable, he steadies the ship. but also he is them. he can get in the gym and shoot with them and hold his own. They relate.
@Omakhara2 жыл бұрын
Yh he's uniquely equipped to handle stars and role players alike imo. He'll hit you with kindness when you screwing up and tell some story about MJ or Duncan if you a star like 30, KD, Klay or about himself and his benchmates if you a 8-15 guy and shame you politely into doing the right thing. The team's core value of accountability starts with Steph, but Steve masterfully uses it to keep constant control of the rest because others will check them before he needs to do anything. And by giving everybody opportunities and playing people based of production, effort,practice etc rather than some strict name or payroll heirachy, everyone not named Steph better listen since Steph always does anything to win anyway¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Truly fitting to each other. And if all else doesnt work in getting the guys engaged, he can always go with the nuclear option as he does once a blue moon and hack a clipboard or go Popovich on them in the locker after which the team goes "Damn we really sry rn if we making Coach act like this"

The Warriors losing their talent to injury and tanking for a season is literally a cheat code. They let their role players develop and get a high draft pick out of it. When the main crew comes back, they end up with a solid roster full of talent

Can you imagine Wiseman getting on the roster next season? Repeat can be possible..
@reptilexcq22 жыл бұрын
That's what I been saying. Wiseman is the exact player they needed to make them even more dominant. A big that can actually shoot? It's game over for the league.

Next year going to be wild tho. Kawhi is coming back. Middleton too Pelicans gonna have Zion. Dallas gonna stack up Memphis already had a taste of the playoffs.

dang, after steph, klay, and dray, I hope we'll see another great guard shooters, and very controversial but respectable player. Dang going to miss these guys, if this is the last that is.

@@jettvelasco5930 definitely, with wiggs and others. But man, steph, klay, dray were just different, or is it nostalgia for supporting them for years now.
@alejandroserrano77552 жыл бұрын
They can definitely return. They hit rock bottom and came back. Klay had 2 of the worst injuries in sport, KD left, Curry had like 2 injuries, Draymond too, Looney had back surgery.

The fact they managed to get wiggins for russell was insane. an athletic wing for a bad defense PG is never gonna end well. Imagine wiggins edwards and whoever they trade towns for, cause lets face it he is not an anchor you can trust.

Celtics set NBA record tonight for most "flops" in a finals game. Boston had no confidence in themsleves and had to resort to bogus "Shenanigans" in a desperate attempt to win.

They're a young team with no clutch superstars yet, they held their own and in the end the better team won. Show respect, don't be that guy. The players don't deserve the heat, especially when what you don't like is the fans. Respect to the warriors, they're a great team.
