Last season he ranked a more mortal second, at 1.8. When he is the ball handler on pick-and-rolls, his points per direct pick are the highest in the league. Steph's points per possession on plays where the defender goes under a screen when Curry is the ball handler is an absurd 1.24, by far the best in the league among players with 100 such He lead the league in Contested 3s off the dribble making 200 of these shots (more than 26 teams) and made a ridiculous 42.5 percent Quantified shot quality, or QSQ, accounts for shot location, defender location and what type of shot it was (catch-and-shoot, off the dribble, etc.), among other variables. Why doesn't anyone ever bag on Kyrie Irving's defense? He's no better a defender than Curry, is purposely guarding the lesser of the opposing team's offensive guards the majority of the time, and routinely gets scored on when he does have to guard someone good like Curry, but I rarely see people badmouthing his defense like they constantly do to Curry's. Why the double standard? Same goes for Westbrook (who even though he's super athletic doesn't even try on defense most of the time). And Lillard, who might be even worse on defense than all the players mentioned so far.

I'm sorry I respect Curry as a player. Hell he did play a good ass game today but most of his points seemed cheap to me. I got so fucking frustrated seeing those blindside screens from Draymond and company doing to open up those 3s for Steph that I was going to break my remote. Then the calls man especially the one not called on Tatum really pissed me off. It could be the salt talking but those are my thoughts. GG Warriors although I believe Kyrie won the matchup. Celtics gotta be better next time
@wonderwil12326 жыл бұрын
That isn’t the salt bro, that’s facts. Let’s set aside the fact that he playing wit 3 other all stars, or the fact that he switched off kyrie and had one of two 6’8 defenders guarding him in the second half. How many points did he score that didn’t result from a screen or free throws? 6? 8, if I’m being generous? I’ll end my point wit this, if you switch kyrie’s and curry’s team who’s numbers would have a drastic fall off?
@beastmode2186 жыл бұрын
Wonder Wil I know what you mean. Kyrie was dancing and playing against alot of players with size and wingspan and just knocking them down. I don't want to go that far with Curry cause he is a great player but those screens irritated the shit out of me
@wonderwil12326 жыл бұрын
So curry is a 50 40 90 player wit this celtic team? And he drops 37 shooting those same shots as kyrie? This is not hate bro, this is just objectively looking at facts.

BeastMode 21 I feel you man, I don’t mean to come off strong but this is basically the same kobe vs lebron bs. The 3 all star heat play the 1 all star lakers and all i hear is look at the numbers, ohh the efficiency, when the king is only shooting layups, backdoor cuts or transition dunks.

Great game. Even though I'm a cavs fan. I think the celtics will give a more competitive matchup to the warriors in the finals if they meet. Especially if somehow gordon hayward may come back, I'm betting on them to win that series if that happens. I love the cavs but if they reach the finals again, gsw will win again in 4 or 5. Especially that they are last in defensive rating. Celtics imo will put a better matchup than the cavs.

@wonderwil12326 жыл бұрын
Savon Sanders TF are you talking, Kyrie didn’t even miss until they switched steph off him and put Klay/Iggy as his primary defender. The matter in question is the amount of screens set for curry that directly lead to his his baskets and the fact that steph did not face multiple 6’8, top 15 on ball defenders in the league. The best defensive play he had all night on kyrie was when he got the steal (arguably a foul) on kyrie. The 4th quarter numbers are also vastly inflated by the amount of free throws he took. Even the so call dagger 3 came from an illegal screen by Draymond. If you believe he was better that’s fine, but that doesn’t change the fact that kyrie is primary playmaker and scorer for an offensively challenged Boston Celtics. Hit multiple tough shots against a rotation of all nba defenders (klay, kd, iggy, Draymond) and was doubled on and off the ball the entire second half, while curry faced an undersized shane larkin, rosier, and a vastly overworked kyrie. Couldn’t even double because of the two other near 40 50 90 all stars on his team. Dude couldn’t be out the game 10 minutes before a 10 point lead was removed by Golden state’s bench, NOT THE STARTERS. Is it a coincidence that curry has the best night he has had against boston absent the two best defenders of the past 4 years, smart and bradley. Just take the W and get that man’s D out yo mouth. You gotta be crazy to think that man scratches 37 shooting the shots kyrie had to take tonight on that efficiency.

Savon Sanders I didn't say Steph wasn't the better pg, but he was obviously wasn't in Kyrie's ass if he had 19 points in the first half. And after that Klay guarded him the entire second half, they were saving him.

Stephanie Chokey I'll never forget when lebron got babied and chickened out during the 2011 finals. Worst choke job I've ever seen from a player.loooool. Dude averaged like 6 points and got smoked with his handpicked super team

Nindotaf His comment had nothing to do with lebron so why are you bringing him up?
@nindotaf21346 жыл бұрын
Kanye cause he always praises lebron and hates on everyone else, especially curry for no apparent reason.

Durant WILL never be an MVP without Curry, This is what I'm sure at.

Durant was already an mvp before he joined Warriors. He won mvp in 2014.

Kyrie is far better...he creates...Curry needs others to create
