As a physical rehabilitation nurse…a couple of things: check with the folks that made his chair - see if there are different wheels that would make Beckham able to push himself in the chair and on the grass. Secondly, what Hunter took of the chair are called anti-tip bars. They would protect Beckham as he gets stronger; he may start pushing his back into the back of his chair. The anti tippers would stop him from falling backwards. I assume the wheelchair guy told y’all all about it…but want to be safe. You guys have such sweet kiddos and I enjoy watching them grow!

You are so right Beckham's chair needs better front caster wheels to make it easier for him to push it in the grass. The anti-tippers that Hunter took off of the back can be left on the chair, just flip them up instead of down. I realize this is Beckham's first chair and he probably won't get another one for five years, but TiLite chairs are more versatile, adjustable, and they can make the wheels light up as Beckham pushes the chair. I know Beckham will make so much more progress once he is school full time! Please let the therapist swim with your little fish. I also hope and pray that they will continue to work or his oral feeds and speech as well for him. It will open up his world so very much. Even if he has to use a device that is okay! He is already familiar with the iPad. He is going to be past the Spark Abilities stage if he isn't already. Go Beckham Go! You got this! :)

When Beckham his first moment in the pool.. he realised there is something different whilst he/Hunter, his eyes turn up to the sky..too devine. Beckham was in a state of bliss. JUST TOO LOVELY. I am not afraid to say I watched that moment more than twice. PRAISE GOD.

The anti-tippers can remain on his wheelchair. Push the release button and instead of pulling them off just turn them so they point up. ALWAYS turn them down, being sure button locks in place, as soon as he is back on smooth surface❣❣❣🙏🙏🙏

The neck ring flotation device is awesome. It allows them to have free mobility of their limbs in the water. My daughter uses one and I was leery at first but, it was the best decision ever.

as a former manual chair user the anti tippers witch hunter took off are meant to be a safety feature so that you cannot flip backwards and hit your head. That said they can be flipped upwards so that the wheels face the sky so that they will be out of the way when Wheeling over rough terrain or also going up and down stairs turning them up so that they face the sky when not needed for anti tipping purposes also means that you won't forget them. I only say this because I left mine behind many times. You guys are awesome

This boy always makes me feel better i have lung disease and have arthritis so seeing Beckham looking so good and enjoying life gives me great strength. Have oxygen therapy at times andcam so grateful to spend my life with my beautiful children and grandchildren one grandson has cerebral palsy. He is eight and like Beckham Shay loves being in the water. Also he loves mooching around in his wheelchair. Love all of you Beckham Blakeley mummy and daddy and not forgetting super dog chloe.x

Grass and gravel are harder to push on independently. It is a great way to build arm strength to be able to push but can be difficult, if not impossible, for wheelchair users to do for long periods of times or often. Many full time wheelchair users can easily navigate pushing indoors on different surfaces but struggle with pushing themselves outdoors.

Takes arm strength but doable. Easiest on short lush grass. Also with gloves for wheelers. Since his hands are on tires, not push rims, they would protect his hands. Check with pt who fitted him for the chair❣

@@lenoreneale4257 I am an adult who is a full time wheelchair user, so quite knowledgeable as to how it's not doable for a variety of reasons. Long term pushing a wheelchair on surfaces such as on inclines, grass/gravel or uneven surfaces especially play heck on your neck and shoulders (after year's of self propelling it does anyway). Until a child is well able to navigate a wheelchair and is aware of how to do so safely, grass is dangerous because there are all sorts of dips and holes that can easily tip a chair over. Grass is one of the scariest surfaces to use a wheelchair on. I avoid it in a powerchair simply because it's to risky being unable to see where holes are and I have a rod in my back. When I used a manual chair as a child I had a fear off tipping over and found it painful on my shoulders after a period of time.

Hey girl! 🤟 A tip to help keep acne in check... clean your phone with an alcohol wipe at least once a day. If you wear a headset, do the same thing. I was working in a call center when all of a sudden a bunch off is women in our 30's and 40's had an acne problem. The fact that it seemed to come out of nowhere was crazy. Personally, I had never had acne except for the "period zit". I remember that it was barely healed by the next period. One of my coworkers went to the dermatologist who said that it is very common and when he sees the area of the breakout he said that it's ALWAYS a headset or phone. Anyway, I thought that it was worth mentioning. Love your channel, thanks! 😘🤗🙏👍

I have my fair share of self esteem issues too. You are beautiful inside and out, Rachel! Seeing Hunter and Blakely’s little donut day and car washes melts my heart. Hey house of Hughes, first off, hope your all well. Loving the vlogs rightt now, blakely is scrumptious, and her dates with her daddy OMG❤. TO cute. I'm a full-time wheelchair user so I thought I could give you a few pointers and tips. First off Beckham is fantastic at pushing his chair better than me and I'm 44 . First off if he's using the tyres to push himself his littles hand will become very dry and sore so if he will wear little fingerless gloves that may prevent his wee hands becoming sore. Also when hunter took out the back parts, stabilisers, the silver things at bottom of Beckhams chair, if he'd have left them in he should be able to turn them so I they are facing up the way, therefore not having the struggle of taking them on and off all the time. Second of all with stabilisers off the chair becomes really light and will tip back very easily, if Beckham becomes excited it may tip back. I guess that this may not be an issue because your always with but I'd thought I'd mention just incase much love to you all what a fantastic family and fantastic parents, love and hugs all the way from Glasgow Scotland xxxx

I have numerous allergies. Commercial sun screen and antibiotics are my biggies. My sunscreen is $54. But i have o choicei can take amoxxicillin and one more which i cantvrecall. But it was for a uti. Everything else gives me rashes and hives. Blahhh blahhhh lol

I 1000 percent know that a chair that is manual is the best option, but I was wondering if you had a need for an electric chair. My son passed away a little over a year ago and I have two chairs that would just need new batteries. My son and I always watched your vlogs together because his fiance has cerebral paulsy. ❤

Also there is a motor thing that assists his wheeling by himself in harder to push areas like grass. Not sure what it is called but I'm sure a physical therapist would know
