I actually never heard this song until Exposé's third album. I was shocked decades later finding out via KZbin that it was a cover of a Jets song. Unfortunately You Better Dance was the last Jets song I heard as a kid, mostly because of what you mentioned.

It's actually uncanny and totally awesome. She's an underrated beauty to say the least for sure. She has quite a legion of admirers I never knew she had and I'm not surprised.
