Hmm, that is sad! Maybe look at what spot in the house they were in. The size of the pot and the watering. They do not like to much direct sun, they can be in a small pot (they don’t like it big) and drying out in between watering is a fine practice!! Keep trying or maybe focus on those plants that do thrive in your house! :))
