Tight! At first I was disappointed that the entire guitar lick at 2:14 wasn't shown....then I watched the drums at the end of the lick. So awesome!

Outstanding, especially the improv ending. Jimmy never played the same solo twice so it’s refreshing to hear this guitarist’s JP-like solos 🤟🏻

@BONHAMOLOGY5 жыл бұрын
Very perceptive! That's a 70's chrome over brass Supraphonic , I got it earlier this summer and this is the first video I used it for. I thought it sounded a bit more like the drum he used on this song. I suspect maybe he used a brass supra on the Houses Of The Holy recordings , especially at Stargroves. ( TSRTS,OTHAFA, The Crunge, this tune, maybe the Rover).

Dare I say it, the sound quality is even better than the original recording which was not very good, soundwise, because it was recorded in the dreaded Rolling Stones mobile studio (a van)... Oh, and the playing is top notch, of course!

robbie parton. He mixed it up a lot, depends on the song and what kind of sound he was going for. Usually you use one when you want an aggressive attack. Off the top of my head, live he used a pick on IS, WLL, BD, HB, TSRTS, anything with 8 string. Thanks for watching!

Sir drummer , what sticks do you use?
@BONHAMOLOGY5 жыл бұрын
I use a mix , but here I think I'm using vintage ProMark Rock sticks. I bought some Meinl 5A's that I like, but I prefer vintage sticks. I'll use most anything that feels good.
