@@tbarr_8 Tyler Barr, sour grapes much?….My friend…There are many calls that are just wrong by the umpiring in MLB, and the judges or refs in other sports. It just is what it is….. It tends to even out over time, as long as I have been watching baseball, since the mid 90’s, its just part of the human error issue of the game. But to blame an entire game or series on one call, is just outlandish. There has to be more objective thinking. But… Ohhhh….How I wishfully think??????

Houston bats came alive when it was most needed. I was just mentioning that top 5 Houston bats have been awful in the previous 2 games, and now they came back to life... Game 5 will be super important, Boston has to win it, because I don't see them winning 2 in Houston. However, there is a key factor here: Astros pitching. They got so debilitated without McCullers that I am not sure how will they cope. They need more innings from their starters or they will kill their bullpen.

While that was arguably the worst strikeout call of the entire ALCS, the fact remains that the Red Sox scored zero runs for the rest of the game. One different call on balls and strikes wasn't going to change that.

Red Sox hyped up that ball so much I expected something closer. Instead, I saw something that's actually a bit more normal. What I did see, top of ninth was the outfielder making a terrible play on that fly ball to the wall. Sorry, that should have been caught. Then so many mistakes by the defense all in one inning. Blame the ump all you want, but very sloppy play in a tight game.
@jakes37993 жыл бұрын
I agree that the Red Sox fans are whining. Still though, it's amazing how one pitch made such an enormous difference in the outcome of the game. If that pitch is called strike 3, everything that happened afterwards is erased. As far as the ump goes, my question would be whether he had been consistent that game. If that location had been a ball all game, there's even less to complain about. They should've known. I would add that I've watched portions of a number of games via gamecast where they show you exactly where the pitches are. And I can tell you that that location is very often called a ball even though technically a strike.
