yes i thought we did. i wasn't that disappointed losing to braves last year as i thought atlanta simply outplayed us during entire series. i was disappointed that we blew it in 2019 as i thought we should have won that series. anyway, winning this year makes up for it.

Pena really deserved everything that he received. My favorite part of this was when he began to speak spanish(even though I didn't understand one word) I'm glad he represented his culture! Never forget who you are and where you come from. I'm happy for the Astros and I'm happy to be a houstonian.

Grew up watching Dusty, Joe Morgan, Catfish Hunter, Charlie Hustle, Johnny Bench, Bert Campaneris, Reggie aka Mr. October, Vida Blue, Rollie Fingers etc. All the greats watching with my Dad on TV. To see this Great Old Gentleman an ambassador to MLB come back at 73 and win the big one as a manager. Fantastic, Congrats.

Dude Peña just made a lifelong fan here. Class act all the way. I like Correa, but he is full of himself. Granted Jeremy is young and hasn’t been tainted by the fame or money that comes with playing at this level, but it’s refreshing to see some humility where it’s a rare thing to find.

Totally agreed Chris. Big Astros fan, and I never really liked Correa. Sure, he is a very good player (when healthy), but I always found him to be so arrogant. The guy has never seen a camera he didn’t like. I was way more disappointed to see Springer go. Jeremy is so such a humble young man!

I almost choked up @ 1:20. I remember working at several catering events around 2017 that were hosted by Astros owner Jim Crane, & he hoisted that World Series trophy around him because of how proud he was. Especially after what Hurricane Harvey did to the city. To win a fully legitimate time now *holds breath until 2-3 years from now* Him tearing up like that, after firing GM Luhnow (mostly still intact from what he did) & manager AJ Hinch… Just even more epic now, what a journey!

Besides, there's nothing really special about this cursed team. True, their lineup was stacked, top to bottom, and everyone was serviceable... except for Pena, who is just a so-so player that got on a lucky streak. But the thing is, there are only 3 people associated with these so-called "champions" that ARE on the way to the Hall of Fame. Altuve, I'd say, is a Hall of Famer, Verlander is a Hall of Famer, and Dusty Baker is a Hall of Fame manager. But other than that, no one is even close to HOF status. They just came through at the right time, nothing less and nothing more.

The thing is, both were the same type of player, neither one deserving of ANY postseason MVP honors because they really weren't that good. But Pena was certainly more deserving of such honors than Livan ever was, even when the latter made his two All-Star appearances.

That was good! Brought tears to my eyes. I lived and died baseball playing for 20 years., From 8 -28. I never made it to the majors, but played college baseball and was drafted by Pittsburgh in 1982. What I would have gave to play on the big stage. It's a pure game that politics needs to stay out of. Like my dad used to say it's the hardest thing to do hit a round ball with a round bat squarely.
