Now with all that young talent, it would seem hard to complete ruin what seemed to be the golden generation of the twolves but Thibs not only being the coach but also TEAM PRESIDENT, hAS ran it into the ground, let's go over his moves. 2016- thibs was brought in to give this young wolves team much needed help on defense ( thibs calling card ) and with KAT already establishing himself as a Top 20 player , Wiggins a 3 & d player with crazy athleticism, Dunn and Lavine, we all expected a playoff birth, but no , Dunn, Lavine , and Especially Wiggins all declined under Thibs, Kat being the generational talent he is was the only player to improve, either way the wolves manage to win less then 40 games. Disappointing season . 2017- still with the the most promising young core in basketball thibs decides to tear apart half of us ( lavin & Dunn ) plus a first round pick , for 28 year old jimmy butler ( former bulls player ) in order to make up for his horrible first season, and in order to skip the rebuild and win now. But not only did the twolves trade for a 28 year old and give away 2 young pieces, but they also gave up a first round pick. Now with jimmy, kat , and Wiggins , thibs had a top 10 player ( Kat) top 20 player ( butler) top 40 player ( Wiggins) and had the ability to sign any player he wanted as he is president . Thibs goes out and signs TAJ Gibson , JAMAL Crawford, Jeff Teague , spendin nearly 109 millions dollars in the offseason ! on paper the twolves have a top 5 roster in the game, with thibs defense they surely should do damage right ? 2018 - thibs now has 2 all nba players , ( towns , butler ) but evry other player has regressed , Wiggins After receiving a max contract and looking like a future superstar has now looked like a shell of himself under thibs, Teague ( former all star ) looks done , Gibson in today's NBA is not good enough, 37 year old Crawford hasn't done the job , and the twolves barley make the playoffs, now with butler injuried all be it, but with 2 max players , 2 ( 60 million dollar players ) and compete controlll of the roster their is no excuse for the twolves to be one of the worst teams defensively, not only that but thibs plays a 8 man rotation , playing his stars 40 min a night , he broke d rose , and he broke butler , Kat and Wiggins ( played all 82 ) avg 38min + will be next . Thibs is a joke In conclusion Thibs inherited the best young core in the nba , and has turned Wiggins a future super star to a stand in the corner jumpshooter, turned 2 young pieces and a 1st round pick for jimmy , to win " NOW " but still the twolves are one of the worst defensive teams, his rotations suck , and he barley got past the nuggets for the 8th seed . With him having nearly all control of the team their is no reason why Thibs should be doing this poorly , the twolves are no longer a young promising team , but are a team who are stuck in the middle of the pact thanks to Thibs tradin away their future to win " now " when in reality they won't make it past the first round with him around . Just like last year when Harden hit the playoff wall and sputtered with no help in sight, although this time they had C.P.3 to the rescue and that's why they got him this off-season which might turn out to be the best off-season aquisition any team has made in years if they win it all! Harden & Paul combined for 39 points, 15 assists, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, & 4 blocked shots, incredible if they keep this up they have to be the favorite to win it all, the scary thing is with Paul & Harden is it is rare for them both to be off on the same night, with one usually being hot or both and their games are so transitional they do not necessarily have to score a bunch of points as was the case with Harden who only had 12 points tonight but they got the win!
