Lived in Houston for just over 16 years from 1963 to 1979. It was an experience and a half!!! Lived in the Sandalwood/Lakeview neighborhood just off Memorial Drive. We had three lakes to swim in which were great for cooling down during those intense hot and humid summers there in southeast Texas!!!

Great video. I would recommend you all try to eat at a popular seafood restaurant named Pappadeaux next time you in Houston. I would also recommend you visit the Galleria mall in Uptown Houston if you like upscale shopping and ice skating at the mall’s rink level.

So glad y'all got to visit my hometown! The green chile burger at Hubcap is my all-time favorite burger. Hanging out on nice days at Truck Yard is definitely a must. Hope y'all visit again when the rodeo comes back into town. Also, you've gotta hit up Brothers Tacos (not far from 8th Wonder & Truck Yard) for the best breakfast tacos in Houston next time.

You found some interesting spots but missed a lot. Bored by the food? How did you avoid Mexican, from Interior Mexican cuisines to Tex Mex? No Vietnamese, Indian or other Asian spots in this diverse city. And you visited Kemah and Galveston but avoided seafood. Did you avoid talking to Houstonians? We have great art museums. The Museum of Fine Arts is massive; free and open lare on Thursdays. The Menil is a gem with all its Surrealists. Always free! Glad you found weird art. Too bad the Art Car Museum was closed... You missed lot's of BBQ and we even have more breweries...

I was watching this thinking none of that food looked great, then you said that at the end. Beer looked great of course. The tiger exhibit at the aquarium looked small. Very sad if it was. Hopefully there was a lot more to it. It's too bad Space Center Houston didn't get a shuttle, like Endeavor that went to L.A. It's also too bad Astroworld is gone. It was a good park and I'm glad I went just before it closed.
@IntheLoopPodcast3 жыл бұрын
There was an outdoor section to the tiger enclosure as well
