If they ever plan on making a Gw3 (which will never happend, unfortunately) they should hire some of these devs for proper balancing and variants design. I'm not a big fan of how variants were handed back in Gw2 (I have a lot of issues with them), but the ones that the community makes are mind blowing.

I strongly disagree. Designs in GW2 were peak game development.

@kingOL Oh yeah, because the game is clearly balanced by adding characters such as Z7 Imp, Epea, or Toxic Brains. Yeah, the game has some very original characters, such as half of both the Peashooter and Corn classes or characters such as Archeologist. Yeah, the game has some great replayability because I would love to play as definitely non-painful characters to play, such as Armor Chomer. Listen. I like the idea of variants. But the execution Popcap did to them was horrendous for me, to the point where I don't miss them in Bfn ,as I feel it will make the game worse because of its issues.

@@Otherface Yes. Toxic Brainz is the very baseline of power that all of Brainz character should have. Z Imp is balanced, and is only a problem due to game’s poor input registration (no sensible limit of clicks per second). Epea - same as toxic brains. Peas have criminally low splash damage in general. Epea just makes peashooter do what they were always intended to do as a class. Likewise likewise. It feels that you don’t like games with RELIABLE characters. Characters in games have to be like a hammer to a nail - 100% effective at what they do. Epea is a king of splash damage, and you are NOT meant to avoid it. Toxic is a king of melee combat, and you are NOT meant to avoid it (same as Chompers). When powers have no counterplay, it just simply means that they are effective and consistent. Something the players like you do not seem to enjoy to play with, it seems, as you want to use cowardly tactics instead of taking the enemy’s upper hand to the face, like a man. Yes, you have to die to Chomper. Yes, I wish ZPG had an advanced homing option. Yes, sunflower is meant to keep people nigh-invincible. This is how the game is designed to be played as. Now as 1v1 (individual “skill”/muscle memory), but as teamVteam (positioning, coordination, match-ups and team-ups etc). GW2 has a “rock-paper-scissors” balance system, and too many people do not realize it. Yes, in certain match-ups/situations you are doomed to fail. And yes, that is fair, because your opponent is doomed to fail in others as well.

You aren’t entirely stuck with no skin. Buying the torch and tail upgrade gives you a skin
