Fleischmann br03 analog to dcc conversion

A look inside the fleischmann br03 analog model from the 80,s a mint model with low run time . i got this model a while back but never converted it until now.

Great video, thanks for sharing the knowledge. Why did you leave that cylindrical component on the motor? You took out the coil which I understand, but not the other thing..? Surely you don’t want anything between your pickup and your decoder?

Thanks...there is no need to remove that part as to does not effect the dcc install or chip. You could remove it but it's extra desoldering. Jim

It is tricky to pass the wire through the locomotive. Which wire diameter did you use?

I am using this vid to convert a Fleischmann HO 4086 (DB 86 457) to DCC. it is a Tank loco Instead of Tender, Do you anticipate any problems or can you give me any advice

The only problem you may have is there are a few types of fleischmann pancake motors which may be different to the one in this vid...it may be a bit trial and error to connect up the motor but I would give it a shot if it was me... Jim

Nice video~! I will modifty my DC fleischmann BR 78 to DCC Loksound. But the motor back plane weld point is complex. And I don't like this old fleischmann noisy gearbox...

Are you sure this is a BR05? It is a BR 03 (see 9:39). Fleischmann has never produced a BR05.
