I always find it funny when someone thinks to canibalism if a pokemon would eat another pokemon of the same type. But when you think about it... Humans eat pork/beef which are both mammals and we aren't called cannibals for doing so. Sharks are not cannibals for eating smaller fish either. Nor are wolves/tigers. In Pokémon Legends Arceus, they actually give you some idea what a Pokémon's natural diet or preferred diet. Leafeon eats almost entirely plants. More specifically Plump Beans,Hearty Grains and Springy Mushrooms.

Fun Fact Noble! Leafeons have the ability Photosynthesis, implying that they do, in fact, produce their energy the same way plant's do: by converting energy from the sun into sugars they then store. However, this is only possible in plants due to water and nutrients in the soil. Leafeon can just drink water, but then we have to ask what nutrients would be best for a plant-based organism that has no root structure and instead possesses a digestive tract. The best answer would probably be powdered bones, as they contain high amounts of the necessary phosphorus, nitrogen, and calcium that a plant would need to grow. Thus we can conclude that a healthy Leafeon subsists off of a diet of water and powdered bone, with a fair amount of their time spent in the sun. Be sure to keep them under a sunlamp in winter, though! It'd be very unfortunate if your Leafeon began to wilt due to poor amounts of sunlight.
