Watch some videos on the ones in Bangladesh, the conditions are horrible and they couldn't care less about the workers let alone the environment. It's nice to see that some places have better practices but the fact two people have died this year already still shows a severe lack of safety requirements to protect workers. I work construction and where I work a single lost time incident is not acceptable let alone a serious injury or death. I'm fortunate to work under regulations that keep me safe, it's sad that these people's employers don't ensure the same level of care.

@Félix Sánchez In a developed country, salaries, security and environmental requirements and many other things put the cost of manual labor in general much higher, thus it is simply a lot cheaper to have them in developing nations. If they didnt start to give me anti psychotic medicine and i would been 83000-93000 times better rapper than all other rappers in the world combined before i would been 20 years old and i was always going to be a singer and it was always the plan to start practice singing alot in the future, so when i would been famous with rap and i would started to practice singing alot and with my constantly daydreams and i would improve super ultra extremely unbelievable lightning quickly with singing and rapping and because of my constantly daydreams and i would used over 35 more time with singing and rapping, it was only because they stop my daydreams by often giving me anti psychotic medicine, being the reason why i didnt freestyle rap that much and i would made 97-99% of music in the radio in Denmark in 8.3-9.3 months in a row and all my songs would been the only very good songs in the history of the world and since i would been famous and i could used better weed and alot of other drugs for singing and rapping and in 2016 and i would been about 12000 times better than 100% of all other singers from all countries in the world combined at making songs/music by singing and i would been about 15000 times better rapper than all other rappers from all countries in the world combined in 2016 and i would already have 6000-10000 more listenings to my songs in 2016 more than justin Biebers music have in total and i would make high to very high % of music in the radio in Denmark in 2016 and over 36 more years in a row and i would have 50000-64000 more listenings to my music in 2017 more than justin Biebers music have in total and i would had 122000-148000 more listenings to my songs in 2018 more than justin Biebers music have in total and in 2018 and i would been about 21000 times better than 100% of all other singers from 100% of all countries in the world combined at making songs/music by singing and about 200000 times better rapper than all other rappers from all countries in the world combined in 2018 aswell.. In 2020 and i would been about 33500 times better than all other singers from all countries in the world combined at making songs/music by singing and i would been about 275000-300000 times better rapper than all other rappers from all countries in the world combined in 2020 and i would have 370000-530000 more listenings to my music in 2020 more than justin Biebers music have in total, in 2021 and i would had 520000-750000 more listenings to my music more than justin Biebers music have in total and i would been about 41000 times better than 100% of all other singers from 100% of countries in the world combined at making songs/music by singing in 2021 and about 320000-350000 times better rapper than all other rappers from all countries in the world combined in 2021 and today i would been about 350000-394000 times better rapper than 100% of all other rappers in the world combined and today i would been about 46500 times better than 100% of all other singers from all countries in the world combined at making songs/music by singing and i would by 100% guarantee get 4.3-5.5 million more listenings to rap songs during my life more than Eminems music have in total and i would by 100% guarantee get 6.3 million to 8.5 million more listenings to singing songs during my life more than justin Biebers music have in total and my songs was so fantastic and famous that close to all the songs would been famous in 1000s of octillion of years in the future and almost 100% of all of my rap songs would been 1.5 octillion to 40 octillion times better than 99,99995% of all other peoples rap songs and my singing songs would been 1.5 octillion to 40 octillion times better than 99,9999% of all others singing songs. i started to smoke cigarettes again in mental asylum in 2019 and when my post wasn't sabotaged anymore / when my testosterone was high and i stop to smoke cigarettes and heal my voice chord and start to smoke cigarettes and even though they never stopped to sabotage my post and i stopped to smoke cigarettes in december in 2021 and starting with singing practice alot in january in 2022 and i would already made about 25 rap music videos in january in 2022 that i recorded myself with beats i would buy online and i got my dad to video record me and by using a video camera stand and it would quickly get a me good record deal and i would already made 97-99% of music in the radio in denmark in 8-9 months in a row and i would already hyad earned 30 billion to 80 billion danish kroner and i would by 100% guarantee get 230-378 more listenings to my music in 1-2 years in the future more than justin biebers music have in total.

WOW! Amazing process and business. I love crusies! I see a couple of ships out there I've cruised on...."Memories!" Some of that stuff could be made into great souvenirs for their customers.

I was a ship builder, I hate to see perfectly good ships get cut up. But, economics say the these ships are no longer profitable, into the recycle bin they go.

Proud to say I’ve been on two of these boats left here. Was so bummed to hear they retired them. Had the best time on those cruises. :/

what do they do with the beds, chairs, and other furniture after they are removed from the ship? do they sell them, donate them, recycle them, use them on another ship, etc?

Also interesting to note is that these yards are now getting a very good price for steel due to the tariff war between China and Australia combined with Covid-19. Australia is the biggest supplier of iron ore and China is the biggest user. During the pandemic the Chinese government has turned to increase infrastructure investing like they always do during economic downturn in order to stimulate the economy. The supply of iron for China has lessened because of politics between them and Australia therefore recycled steel is a becoming more popular and thus valuable.

look at the queen Mary II in La, California.. its converted to a hotel and its gone bankrupt many times over... keeping it in the water causes millions of dollars worth of repairs top fix the leaks.. dock space is expensive

Fractional ownership is a thing with multi-million dollar cars. Sell shares online, buy it, if you sell it you pay the shareholders a fraction of the profit.

that is actually a great idea, also if i was a trillionaire, i would buy one to house the homeless and struggling people.

@@williamhaynes7089 - Exactly, a lot of people just don't understand that keeping a ship afloat costs a vast amount of money just in maintenance & personal, thats before counting things like dock fees.

Ships like this cost hundreds of thousands each year to maintain and there's the toxic building materials you need to deal with. A land-based shelter would be better.

There are empty unused buildings all over the us that could be used for that. Why in hell would you want to have the extra cost of keeping something afloat as a shelter.

Any and all homeless issues can be fixed by the community, not just the city government or state. The Community can do quite a bit to fix the homeless issue and the City just helps along. The reason its not being done is due to the fact that many people in the community have been conditioned to not help, to blame, to insult to, shame, to punish, but not to help. If more people in the community was to actually put the effort to help. Crime would drop, homeless issues would drop, and indeed the look and well being of a city would improve. But hey instead we have people going online and complaining but doing nothing.

I told my parents that cruise ships are evil when I found out that they were caught dumping plastic into the ocean in 2019 and 2020. I have been on cruise before it smelled like chemicals and I got really sick on board before Covid existed. I am GLAD THAT THEY ARE GONE

It is REALLY sad, heartbreaking and words can't even begin to convey ALL. These were beautiful, Luxurious ships that so many spent and had wonderful times on. Such a WASTE to "write it off" cut the losses and abandon ship I guess is fitting. I know cruises are expensive... but it takes a lot to pay one of these off, pay the help, buy the food, fuel, towels and this list goes forever. Mind boggling that the answer is cut it up and probably build bigger more expensive... or is it downsize and hold on to what's left. I really didn't even scratch the surface in the few words above. Thanks Covid. mthrfckr.
