Dalton is one of our new students that started in our September class here at BC Helicopters. He had 3.4 hours of flying as of this video. He is doing an amazing job. Just a not, not all students fly this well at 3.4 hours. In this video I take you through part of a start up on the Guimbal Cabri G2, flying out to Stave lake for some circuit practice. He did some take off's and landings and we landed on a lake beach as well.
My name is Mischa Gelb and I own BC Helicopters with my wife Amy and my brother Sancho. I love taking you along to discover the life and adventures of a helicopter pilot.
In this video I used the song:
"Just Wanna Run"
You can find it at www.epidemicsound.com
You can also follow us on:

EDIT: Christ on sale, speaking of cost, I just checked BC's rates and the per-hour operating cost for this Cabri is $540 CAD per-hour... and that's the cheapest rate. An R44 is $725, and the R66 is $850. The total cost for a four-month course from private to commercial rating will run approximately $74,000, unless that's a flat rate.

When I was getting my single engine pp I remember landing a C 150 and we are coming in and I'm a little low. There are telephone lines with big orange balls in front of me. I had maybe 2 hours in my book. I gave it a little gas and we cleared it fine. Learning to flare was another thing... : ) But my point being, I didn't realize it until I was out of the plane and reliving what I did that I realized my instructor never budged. I still shudder. When I asked him, he said 'Believe me in another 2 seconds I had the airplane..." You guys are a different breed. Aviation Instructors are so cool.

@PilotYellow
@PilotYellow 6 жыл бұрын
I love a couple of stages best. I love when they are just figuring out the hover and take off's and landings because it's like watching your kid take their first steps. I also love when they are mid course and we really start getting into the advanced work, mountain flying, etc. I don't really enjoy the last stage all that much because the students usually get a bit stressed getting ready for their flight test. Plus you are just working on polishing everything.
