In this issue the problem is Police and poverty. What the police do in Kenya is they write the agreement and fail to give the accused a copy. This agreement is legal but not the correct thing to do. There is a Police Form P18 which they can fill instead and enter in their records. If this woman had refused having any money from this mama they would have produced the 50K agreement because it would have been word for word and the judge would acquit her without a written agreement presented. They say a bait for her and she took it line and and sinker. She agreed she has their money 50K and not 80K. As the judge here you go by complainant and police. It's worth noting she had no legal representation to get any advise and atleast two or three witnesses. When she finally gave the witnesses to the probation officer the probation officer likely gave a Fair report on her behalf and she was released before her term was over. As a matter of fact, this is a case of Corrupt Police, Strict Judge but a fair correctional system as displayed by the probation officer.
