I wonder if you squeeze some calamansi and mix with the boiled leaves plus 🍯 will transform it into a nice tea drink…but yeah, good on you for going for natural home remedy instead of OTC drugs (waste of money, not to mention long-term side effects). You’re a smart, frugal young man (or lad - British accent, lol) in your approaches so far - good for you and g.f. Ann. Oh I want to suggest ginger and garlic - my go to remedies - you can have everyday to combat most illnesses; garlic is my cure-all (read up on garlic benefits, including as a natural antibiotic; but to get the most benefit, you need to chop in fine pieces a clove or two, wait at least 5 minutes for the medicinal substance “allicin” to be released, placed it on a spoon, dont’t chew but just swallow like you would a cough syrup and drink water or juice. You can take this every after dinner (for life if you want, lol…take it or leave it, but it has worked for me, long-term). Better also to stay with rice-based soup/diet (like arrozcaldo) esp. when sick (it’s easier on the stomach, because it’s gluten-free) and tinola with papaya and malungay leaves is another very healthy dish option. Stay well and enjoy your PI province adventures with Ann🫶🙏

Im thinking... If you split bamboo into two halves, then you can overlap them so the bottom part is a "u" shape, and use that to lead away the water from the ground/area. Then (like you build the table) add those halves on top of the u shaped ones that lead the water away, so the top ones lead the water into the u shaped ones who then leads the water away. That will give you a somewhat sturdy flooring and you can put kitchen on top of that. Or any other area you need it to be dry in. EDIT: You might need to figure out how to make it a bit more sturdy/level before you put down the bottom halves. Maybe even somehow raise them a bit so they dont get stomped into the ground/mud. Maybe few rafts, 2x4's etc... But then it would work, im sure of it!

I kinda agree with you .they are unorganized ( a typical fiipino province life lack of exposure, orientations or social and life organizations. i also noticed the part when Dillon pointed out the sugar with lots of ants on it, and the way they placed all those spices and so much more. This is a way of living in the Philippines in so many provincial households i thinkt its another government responsibility to help and spread awareness ( educate) about Health and Safety.
