Cool.... and when you finally opened the door i started singing jail break by AC DC ( in my head). .... lol. Reminded me of a story my brother told me. Him and 4 mates were drunk and in a stolen taxi and the cops busted them . When they were in the jail they were all in the same cell and started singing jail break at the top of their lungs.... lol.... the cop in charge was really angry and came in and told them to shut the fuck up. My brother did get off ( he was 17 and his mates were a year or 2 older). Only 1 got charged for taking the taxi ( if was just there with the motor running and empty) and he got off with a good behavior bond.

My dad was a paramedic on the Chicago Fire Department. After he retired he worked as an emergency medic on Motion Picture Union film sets during the 1990’s. Once they were filming in a closed hospital and my dad was exploring the building and ended up checking out the psych ward. He went in and the door closed behind him and locked. No one knew he was there, and the door can only be opened from the outside unless you have a key. He was about to start banging on the door and yelling, but quickly realized this was a psych ward, it was soundproof because banging and yelling was something the patients did everyday, all day long. So no one would have heard him. He stood there a minute to think about what he should do, but luckily someone came by with the same same idea of checking out the psych ward. The person opened the door and my dad was quick to tell them to hold the door open, don’t let it close. Scary.

@@GoldStarLord That seems unlikely for safety reasons, if a fire killed the electrical system then there would be no way to prevent the prisoners from burning to death (which is generally considered unacceptable). There has to be some manual release purely because of safety codes.

I think the problem was that only *part* of the lock was ripped out. So whatever manual release mechanism was built into the system might have been taken out while the electronic lock was still inside. Is just my guess from context, anyway.

Dream Traveler Zenddrex I had a break down earlier this month, I was arrested and taken to jail on traffic stuff. And my sleeping schedule means I'm awake all night and sleep during the day I was awake in my cell from lights out till breakfast and by then I had gone insane so they moved me to the padded cell and took all my clothes and gave me (don't hurt yourself clothes)
