Working together is going to play a big part of being judged. But I feel another factor is how much the person sticks to, and lived up their own ideals. That is, after all, part of why Captain America was judged poorly: he saw himself as a moral icon, a leader, to the country but failed to fullfill the role.

There is one mutant that I've been waiting to see interact with Celestials, though I fear I will be let down. That character is Kate Pryde. Why do I want to see her interact with Celestials? Simple, because of the Black Vortex and her having the role of being the last being to use it. Not just that, but the first user, Gara, said that in the billions of years of people using this Celestial artifact, Pryde was the first to not succumb to the power it grants, Gara implied she "stayed pure" and wasn't corrupted. backstory= Gara is from a race that existed 12 billion years ago, that like humans, went from pre-industiral to attempting to escape the planet under 100 years. But for some reason her kind kept failing. After seeing yet another ship explode as it tried to escape the atmosphere, Gara passionately addresses the Celestial called Godhead that's been standing there for her races existance. The Godhead shows first sign of action by creating a mysterious mirror called the Black Vortex. Those that submit to it's power has their ability or power changed to its cosmic potential. But there is a cost, there is a chance that a change to a aspect of the power or the mind, permamaently. Many who undergo this power granting, end up going insane with the power. All of Gara's race submitted to the Black Vortex and went insane. Within one year of the Black Vortex's creation, her race was all dead save for Gara. The 'power' affected not always the superpower the person has. When Beast was enhanced, it wasn't his mutant physical being that reached cosmic levels, despite the cosmic powers all seem to get, it was his mind that was enhanced. When Pryde was enhanced, her intangibilty power reached it's cosmic level, it allowed her to 'transcend the mutliverse', she was able to see all of her alternate selves, "see what they see, know what they know". Also others that were enhanced tended to still have a physical body, even if it wasn't flesh and blood (Iceman & Groot) it was physical. But Pryde's form was more ethereal, gaseous (and looked to have pinpricks of stars through her form and a larger star or shining body at location of heart) Pryde seems to have this power enhancement burned out, though we never saw her use it as much as Gamora used her enhanced cosmic powers before hers burned out. But I can see Pryde's mentality of not wanting the cosmic powers aid it in it fading away early. This is why I want to see Kate Pryde interact with a Celestial. (despite fearing current writers ignore this history) I want to see how a Celestial would react to someone who was exposed to the Black Vortex but wasn't corrupted by it yet didn't want its powers

I am so glad that people are FINALLY seeing why I have always held Cyclops in higher regard than Captain America. For me, it's all about walking that walk and having that conviction in everything one does. Cyke don't care who you are, if you need help, he's helping you regardless. I Totally agree with everything you said in this video! I'd also argue that emma was misjudged though. She's extremely selfless when it comes to her people and has said the only reason shes even on krakoa is "for the children". If Emma got a thumbs down then I think magneto would prob get a thumbs down also. Even going by your argument that selfish and self serving people or people that are only fighting for one side would be given a thmbs down suggests that magneto would get poorly judged since he's only ever fought for mutant rights.

Cyclops became cool for me during Grant Morrison's run, he's an imperfect flawed man that owns his flaws while being the Captain America for mutants, Captain America is so full of him self that he never admits he's wrong (hell they retconned him backing down at the Civil War by making him a Skrull FFS, so yes a duplicitous method acting alien has more self awareness than Captain Everyone Else is Wrong But Me America).

cyclops is my favorite marvel character. the dude tactically is the closest thing to batman in the marvel universe, this is cliche at this point but literally plan a,b,c,-g. nick fury said cyclops makes better decisions quicker than any other marvel hero. he literally beats wolverine everytime they fight cept for the aoa stalemate and the astonishing x-men stalemate, shoot he even beat storm rogue kitty pride nightcrawler wolverine and colosus all at once(uncanny xmen 175). and yes he is horrifically flawed but the best characters always are.

I will say the moment that made me appreciate Cyclops as a character is in Astonishing X-men by Joss Wh*don where Emma Frost is going through his memories and points out how he's been so devoted to the X-Men as a team and devoted to being a great leader because that's all he has for the most part. He lost his parents and his brother at a young age. There's room for serious attachment issues there.

Please stop saying we can a definitive evidence that mutants are in fact descended from deviants. Come on man, there was a huge hint that Emma was making a deal with them and is why they where allowed to enter a Krakoan Gate. Celestials created the Deviants and Eternals from humans, and put the X-Gen in humans. And sure they maybe recanting that, but given we're only 3 out of 7 of the main story and 20 tie-in stories I'd say it's way to early to call it definitive yet. Yeah, I don't think it had to do with Cyclops playing tough guy to the Celestials that changed this Celestials mind at all. You skipped it, but the image shows the fact that the Celestial eye went big when Cyclops mentioned Jean. Cyclops said a change of Venue which confused the Celestial and if the Celestial wanted to meet Jean he can arrange it, and that's when the Celestials eye went big and gave him the thumbs up. If Cap gets a thumbs down and given all the crap and failed crap that Cyclops did then he should no doubt get a thumbs down.

This has never changed. Magneto would be found worthy as all he has done was to fight for his and his peoples survival. What? Cyclops has been at war for most of his adult life. No time off. Few, to no allies. And knowing full well that he will not be seen as a true hero by the people he has sworn to protect. Steve does a great job at what he does, but he has never been in the position Scott has. Scott was literally the leader of the mutant race and when the chips were down, they (mutants) all looked to him to get them through it. Steve has never had that kind of weight on his shoulders.
