Basically in 8 decks theres 416 cards, so she said shed count everysingle card and only bet on last few hands that way she already knew which cards came out and whats left. So yea it doesnt work, coz these days a portion of the deck is cut off and those portions dont get played. The best I've seen is cut card goes 14 cards from the end and if a hand lands exactly on it, they deal two more hands, otherwise they finish the hand it shows on and play one more, so the best you can do is play a hand with 8 cards remaining in the shoe.

I dont see how she can count cards in baccarat unless the dealer shows all the burn cards. In every casino I've ever played baccarat in, they have refused to show the burn cards. This makes any counting method pointless. Not only that but, even if you knew every card, counting cards in baccarat only helps if you have good enough deck penetration to know when ties are more likely. Its not the same as counting in blackjack, and most casinos I've been to have started new shoes with around a deck remaining.

If you are a high limit player there are different rules that can be set per casino based on your buy. That is why advantage high limit players are able to get more leverage than an average player. But most people will never know this because they never played in the private bac or blackjack rooms. But you can easily ask dealers and they can tell you the advantages those players can get. Nothing is guaranteed but one thing is every player than is given more of an edge in their favor. Is better for them because casinos do this out of greed but smart players can win big.

There’s no consistent way to win at gambling unless it’s poker and even that has its own degree of luck one you understand how to play. Your best bet is understanding the odds of whatever game you are playing and staying consistent to your strategy.
