See, this relates well to videos too because I'll go through two hours or more of footage for an 8 minute video. First I'll get rid of anything that is blurry, unnecessary, or just didn't look right. Then I organize it onto a timeline and adjust my story approach before I even think about music, effects or voiceovers.

how do I stop my perfectionist issue with editing every little imperfection in a photo? Also, I always shot jpg. How do I move over the RAW. I have Lightroom and I don't want to photo shop as I've taken 1000 photos in 1 day (camp photography, photo shoots, some scenery)

Man the perfectionist issue will go away when you shoot more and more and over time. As you shoot more you’ll realize that some better and worse than others which keeps you creating and forgetting the details. Just switch to raw on the camera of whatever you’re shooting on
