I actually cried she has so much somali people around her and so much culture around her even in America. I'm 15 and I wish I had such a support system frowning up. People used to make fun of my ethnicity and the fact that my mom couldnt speak Dutch well. But I'm glad now that I know more about my culture and the fact that there is a Somali roll model

It is part of exile experience. It will make you stronger. Unfortunately due to the civil war some of Somalis ended up countries/regions where they never seen/knew Somali people before. Due to the ignorance people behave negatively towards cultures unknown to them. Many Somali youth experienced the same but guess what everyone women wants to look like Somali because Somali women are the most beautiful women in the world. You are lucky that god made you Somali.
