One thing most people undervalue is the company you keep. He clearly never had a friend who was good with women show him all that is possible. I had his problem and only overcame it by opening my eyes to the options while watching you and a few other dating coaches prove that it can be done. What to talk about is often the #1 problem guys have when on a date and can stress guys out as boys are expected to lead the conversation. Some girls start convo by themselves, but dont expect that. But a good starting point is to find a topic which includes both of you. "Where do you come from?" is often a safe one, as chances are you both have some basic knowledge about every major area in ur country. Second thing, as Alex pointed out here, noone really gives a **** about ur life apart from having something to talk about. A nice rule of thumb to have, is that people care as much about your family, holidays, past ex-es and schools you went to as you do with other people. Not that much i assume.
