Is there 3 adjustments on the rear bar or 9? Meaning can you stagger the off sets? Meaning middle hole on the left and softest or hardest on the right and still managed to have a “perfectly balanced” car? As long as the links still slide in with zero resistance….

No, it would make the two sides uneven.

You'll want to keep them evenly selected unless you're only using the vehicle on an oval track, and even then, each track will be different and some may still work best with an even setting. Making them uneven gives one wheel more leverage over the behavior of the other wheel, but the leverage comes at the cost of how much movement happens with that force. A bumpy track will unsettle a car set up with an uneven sway bar.
