Another great Adventure Time analysis from this channel! Let me say some observations: 1-I always liked how Adventure Time world was a combination of Science Fantasy with a Post-Apocalyptic setting, and NEPTR, as a AI, is an evidence of it. If the writers done a more coherent plot, maybe one of the plot-lines could talk about a group of Magic-Enthusiasts who blames technology for the destruction of the world, and both NEPTR and B-Mo could be on their targets. 2-An episode about Tree Truks with NEPTR could serve as a comment on AI taking actual jobs, including the AI Art taking the spot of human artists. 3-The reaction of Lemongrab during the ending of Mystery Dungeon, when he freaks out by seeing the Life-Giving Magician, appears to be a constant reaction towards supernatural beings. Just remember how he got extremely furious at Matthew's Mountain, and destroyed the entity. 4-How could them leave NEPTR out from the episode We Fixed a Truck? Technology is his expertise! 5-Flame Princess not holding grudges towards NEPTR didn't surprise me. The Fire People is used to having their life at the stake, dealing with assassination attempts all the time. 6-We need a video about Huntress Wizard, but don't rush it. Take all the time you need, Shady! 7-I love your idea for an episode focused in NEPTR and Raggedy Princess. It reminds me of a fanfic my brother almost wrote, about Lemongrab and the Duke of Nuts having an adventure together, dealing with their own anxieties.

Wow... I never realized how much I'm like Neptr (minus the rap part... and the princesses kidnapping part... and the robotics)... I always liked when Neptr appeared, always felt sorry for how they were treated. And yeah, why didn't he appeared in Jerry? Did BMO killed him? Or are they hiding somewhere like before... or does it mean that Neptr had soul and was truly alive unlike BMO? Or was he simply forgotten like before... poor Neptr...

Neptr is definitely one of my favorare cartoon characters Its such a shame they got so little screen time You make a very good point how in neptrs first episode after ice king powered him up, neptr became obsessed with princesses, witch is never brang up in any other episode despite being a good concept for a plot Also BMO: NEPTR only just found out there is a face on his can, and now he thinks the can is his conjoined twin. :) NEPTR: i don't expect you to understand the bond i share with my family. :(

I would also loved to have seen an episode where FP and Neptr meet and become friends. Also I would have liked to have seen an episode where BMO goes through an arch where Neptr leaves the treehouse because of BMO bullying Neptr again. Then BMO realizes that they’ve been a jerk to Neptr and BMO learns to appreciate him more and apologize for treating him badly. Also I would’ve loved to see an episode of Neptr and Banana man together since they’re both good at building things and maybe have a friendly competition where they try to build the best machine or device or something.

If mother is the lightning, then isn't Ice king Nepters mom? And Finn is his father? I mean, from a literary standpoint I could probably write a whole essay around this. One gave him form and purpose and the other gave him the power of creation (pies) and the ability to reach his full potential. Adventure times constantly playing with themes about life and death, creation vs procreation, and free will vs. Predeterminism. Fucking love this show for introducing these themes to kids in an age appropriate manor.

I think Neptr is the representation of the children left behind after a hero/warrior is pulled to their call to action. Heros like Aeneas had to leave their family behind after his city burned. Heracles moidered his family (which kind of became his call to action??) It makes sense that Neptr is forgotten and not taken seriously. Finn created him for a joke purpose and didn't intent for him to be a PROcreation, a son. But with Ice Kings intervention, that's exactly what Neptr became. Fin and Jake's stories from the beginning are to be great heros, like Billy. They upfront tell us they are on the side on Creation, to live forever through stories. Yet, both characters find themselves confronting indirect/accidental procreation, through Finns son Stormo and Neptr, and Jake's Puppies. We see Jake grow and change over the years and we know he even reaches the 50th deadworld, so we can infer that Jake makes peace with death and no longer worries about creation vs procreation, he doesn't care about living forever: his soul is happy in the 50th deadworld NOT reincarnating. Until Fin interfers and convinced Jake to go through another round. Fin is still a hero in death, he is STILL fixated on living forever, he takes on New Death, jumps through deadworlds, and is determined to control his destiny. Fin does not care about his family line, sure he loves his brother/best friend, but that's NOT the same. Finn grew up as the only human, why should he worry about procreation when there's /no one/ to procreate with. Probably also why meeting Susan junked him up at first, it opened a door to possibilities previously thought locked. Now, where I see a HUGE missed opportunity, is Finn realizing the way he treats Neptr and Stormo (literally one and done,) is no better than the way Martin treats him. Only using him when he needs to, then conveniently forgetting about him for months at a time. An episode about Finn getting close with Neptr, and finishing the episode eating spaghetti dinner along side Stormo over the sunset would have been SO nice. You know I was thinking, what if Neptr isn't fully a robot? I think he might be sorta like a living creature with a mechanical body. Considering the odd unrobot like qualities he has. Like eating and sweating.

I would say maybe but NEPTR does refer to himself as a robot a few times so it can't be.
