As an Aussie I felt it was bittersweet when Maxi took Australia to victory against Afghanistan. They're an exile team that we all love to see do well. So glad India gave them the "Home" stadium. The UAE and Pakistan is just too risky for them. I hope their families and up and coming Afghan players and their families can get smuggled away from the Taliban. Afghanistan indeed has high quality players. But it is the support from their neighbouring countries that has allowed them to reach such great heights. Most afghan players are getting opportunity to train themselves in India and Pakistan, then residing and training regularly in luxurious city like Dubai, and the getting called by franchises from all over the world. Afghanistan cricket has received so many world support which I don't think any other nations have received before. All the credit goes to their amazing players who have managed to gain world wide attention, and thier cricket board who has been able to make such agreements in allowing their players to get international support.
