Appropriate responses. When I first started hearing the talk I rolled my eyes thinking of course a talk on agri with no Agriculturalist on the panel but Mr Salim Raza at 28 minutes brilliantly articulated the needs and solutions!

I agree, Low hanging fruit is to buy the research and improve the production per hectare etc. In long term, we can improve indigenous research, but regional connectivity will be very helpful as well.

One further comment that where we do need govt regulation is w.r.t. The Mills and arti. Where farmers suffer the most losses is at the time of selling and the oligopolistic practices of the buyers. Solution is investment by private sector in facilitating warehouses and the means for farmers to store produce and yet have cash flow for next crop sowing. Govt, state bank should incentivize private sector re this
