Probably not because Islam has also been Kaizening his whole life. Like Khabib said you can't learn wrestling in a few months when Islam has been practising it for many years.

This kaizen thing is the exact opposite of what Mcgregor doing : the guy already found his "why" ,surrounded by yes-mans, kept the same style...
@PsychologyOfTheFight2 жыл бұрын
I agree, on his rise to the top he did a lot of things worth studying and applying though!
@reaps2661 Жыл бұрын
I kind of disagree, McGregors original "why" is fulfilled and during the time before that he was a star, but after that "why" got replaced he could only find a weaker "why" that doesn't motivate him enough to guide him in a direction to reach the same heights he did before And so it's more of the same thing but with less power

@@PsychologyOfTheFight Thanks! hmm i've been thinking about one lately actually. I watched a documentary on how the mind works and they talked about how people who do things like freestyle rapping or improv comedy need to be good at getting out of their own way to let the subconscious flow. And i think thats an important trait for a fighter in the midst of combat. Its something I struggle with as a white belt in BJJ when rolling - overthinking and getting in my own way instead of flowing! Btw love the Victor Frankl reference in this - one of my favourite books!

I appreciate it! On the real man, I wish I could, but I've definitely sold out a little bit. I noticed that when a fighter has a fight coming up, the views are exponentially more than when I just put out a passion project. It's why I've been coincidentally posting Yan before his fight, volk around his backup role, etc... Fedor is one of the best ever, but unfortunately I don't know if others will want to see it. I truly appreciate you and your continued support, but I am trying to grow the channel and posting more trending fighters. I hope you can understand brotha

Hi there, i love your content. I am an autistic ultramarathon runner but i like martial arts, and i am pretty sure some of the elite athelets like jiri, cannonier, ferguson, rockhold, islam etc etc. has aspergers aswell. Ofc maybe they dont know because of heavy masking. I also diagnosed very late. I am just saying this if you are looking for a new research. Excuse my english
@PsychologyOfTheFight2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I appreciate it! To be honest, I don't know enough about autism to be able to confidently put out a video about it, but I am very interested!! What are some telltale signs of those fighters that makes you believe they are possibly on the spectrum?
@comet62292 жыл бұрын
@@PsychologyOfTheFight watch their interviews. They constantly need stimming, like holding something, moving shoulders and neck, taking everything literally, sensory overload is a bitch so some of them have to wear sunglasses, like i do it in the supermarkets. Also their work ethique, how we dedicate and commit is very extreme. Plus high functioning autism (old name is aspergers) make you mask it. So you act normal around normals but more you get tired your brain start to glitch(spoon theory). Maybe one day we talk on discord on something so i can answer better. Unmasking autism is a good book. Also you can check the youtube channel 'aspergers from inside' .he is a nice guy maybe you colab. derrick lewis is a good example too. But when you go elite level on art and sport most of the people on spectrum.
@comet62292 жыл бұрын
Plus we cannot lie at all. Our brain dont let it. Lying is a broken pattern and we only find comfort in completed patterns. We tend to say everything our mind show us even if we know consequences gonna hurt us

Like diaz brothers. Smoking alot is a type of stimming/coping mechanism. I used smoke all day to not freak out
