Just to contribute to the video: I played during this time on Julera. I was just another noob and managed to level up to 29. My nickname was Mathias Scott. By the way, this video brought me a wave of nostalgia because, besides being filmed by Dreds, I also saw another character that played a significant role in my Tibia story. Dreds was like a legend in Carlin’s DP, where I would always hang out instead of leveling up or training, haha. Dreds starts the video on top of his house, which always caught attention because of the rare items he had. But what really caught my attention in the video was the player named "Kilouco" (appears at 3:58). When I first arrived in the mainland 20 years ago (at level 8, obviously), I accidentally attack another player. I had no idea what I was doing. When people started attacking me, "Kilouco" showed up, told everyone to stop, and protected me until my skull timer ran out. Since he was level 40, everyone respected him. Even 20 years later I remember this without difficulty. That was true Tibia!

Actually we not only miss Old Tibia but also the time where our biggest concern in life was leveling up our skills and not paying bills.. somehow I feel that Tibia prepared me for life in so many ways. It was way more than just a game IMO
@puch7283Ай бұрын
yea. i used to skill everyday after school. ppl used to skill/make runes than exping. tibia used to be social game with exp element. now its just a grind fest.

Que loucura, cara. Passávamos horas no jogo e muitas vezes parados no depot.

I logged into Tibia about 5 years ago and I was in shock, every town was empty, no one in dp. The community was dead. People doing boost exp then just logging off. I played tibia 6.9-7.5 and it was a real rpg with a strong community.

The golden era... "Misscklick" was a classic back then. These guys here were just having fun, but for those who don't know: there was no safe mode at the time, so it was very common to see people get skulled randomly outside the depo and then screaming that it was a missclick, "no PK I promise". In place where they later added the safe mode button, there used to be a third stance mode which was "keeping distance" - not very useful though, since you had no control as to which direction the character would go and it could easily get you trapped in a corner or a narrow corridor for example.

@channel_dadАй бұрын

People killed tibia. Everything CIP did was to try to correct the mess of botters, auto aim, etc

Nah mate, you know this isn't true, they did implement changes for that but mainly to keep the company afloat which is understandable, monetizing every aspect of the game even the decorations for the houses

Yes and no. Players started the mess, but Cip went the easy way rather than trying to fight the botters for real.
