How Amish Stay WARM in Winter Without Gas/Electricity

Buckmaster buckstove heats my house. I have a heat pump but the buckstove keeps house 65 to 72 degrees. The stove is mounted in masonry envelope and will hold heat for 4 hours after fire goes out. One wheelbarrow of wood lasts for 24 hours. I have a blower mounted in the top of the den to blow warm air to the rooms in the back of the house. At night outside temps have gone down to 20 degrees F with no issues.
