Calling 2D Disney animators lazy is wild. Back then they couldn’t just copy paste walk cycles to multiple models in a crowd, each person would need to be drawn individually, frame by frame, having 20+ characters with different bodies moving at the same time is a lot harder in 2D than in 3D because 3D animation is a much more flexible workflow where you can more easily go back and tweak things that don’t look right. A 2D animator on the other hand realizing that one person in a crowd of 20 doesn’t look right means starting over. Also personally I think their solution was more effective and visually interesting than showing the crowd directly, showing their shadows, hands and pitchforks emphasizes the danger and makes the force feel more imposing by not humanizing them as much as the protagonists.

I went into my animation degree thinking it was gonna be a certain way, and after I graduated, I realised how hard it was. Everything you said here is facts. Did you study animation by any chance?

2:16 I'm surprised they didn't call it Previs anywhere. VFX artists get rough storyboards with 3D animation too. You could call any/all preproduction "bad" but they're only intended to get the basics down and communicated quickly and clearly. They're always hillarious but never meant for actual audience viewing. You'll see bald stick figures with buggy eyes in a t pose glide away with a stock 3D model of a dog to visualize a 10 million dollar scene of a character being chased by a panther

Bruh you gotta remove the discord noises and work on the inconsistent audio quality. I usually don't care if the content is good but this was egregious. Calling Disney animators "lazy" while you got discord noises going off every other minute in your video you didn't bother to edit out is insane lol

I don't mean to be rude but please consider using someone else to voiceover who can read clearly without stumbling as it's quite distracting
