Hello guys. I bought co2 and o2 sensors. Where to get sample code with these two sensors + LCD like in this video? Thank you!

Eventually the sensor will fail I think. As more reactions happen due to the break down of oxygen to bind to the back electrode via oxidation. So the more oxygen in the environment, then the more the oxidation happens. The anode will eventually not be able to oxidize. To oxidize means it needs to bind with some chemical to release the electron. So the question is how long this sensor last before it fails to oxidize and the reliability of the sensor as it reaches the end of life of the anode.

Hello Michael, the life of the sensor in air is two years. At the end of the sensor life, the value of the sensor output decreases because the chemical reaction cannot continue, so it is recommended to replace the sensor probe after two years of use. Thanks for the question. :)

I am wondering why it costs so cheap. Thanks Michael.

"Lead" and "lead" are unfortunately two entirely different things;\blame the English language. What you talk about is "lead (Pb)" --> pronounced as Ledd, rhymes with "head" or "bed" A wire-lead is more innocuous, and is pronounced as you do", as "leed" (rhymes with feed). Pb-containing articles would generally fall under the RoHS directive - be careful; although some specific articles may be exempted.

Thanks for pointing that out, we will pay attention to details in future videos. This video only demonstrates the general principles of the oxygen sensor, and the actual production process is compliant with the RoHS standard. Thx again.

@@DFROBOTCN Thanks fro the explanation. Good to hear that this sensor is RoHS complaint. I know that Cadmium Sulphide and Cadmium Selenide photoresistive materials are no longer acceptable in new products by RoHS.
