Bro. How are you setting up your mogrt to auto resize the different layers when you enable or disable them? I know checkbox + dropdowns but the way the text moves, are you just making it a seperate layer and then linking the source text? This is awesome. Or is there some sort of smart resizer that's working?

It is AWSOME. I love this kind of Content-Mangement-System for After Effects and Premiere, because everybody knows how to handle Excel. There is only one down-side, because Microsoft doesn't keep the rules they once also established. I am from Germany and this topic touches everybody who uses a version of Excel in a language where the decimals are separated by commas. Because here Excel uses semicolons to separate the values and commas for decimals by exporting a sheet to CSV - no matter which of the CSV-formats you choose. And there is no opption - as far as I know - where you can say "use commas". Okay, I have to be fair: I know there doesn't exists a real standard for CSV, but OpenOffice and Google-Docs export the sheets in "real" CSV, no matter which language you use. I helped myself by writting a small parser with VBA that exports Excel-sheets in a true CSV-format which can be handeled by After Effects and Premiere. Because for data-driven MOGRTs only CSV-files work in Premiere. For some reasons you can't add the data from TXT and JSON to the Essential Graphics panel as a spreadsheet.

Hi, late but still.. there is a solution to this. I asked Bings AI some weeks ago about this. And it pointed me to a menu inside the settings of Windows 10 which I had never seen before. ANYWAY: Its called "list separator" found in setting. Open the good old Control Panel and select "Clock and Region", there click "change date,time..." which opens a popup, where you click "Additional settings" (which opens up another popup). There you see the "List separator". which you can then set for the whole system. I have set mine to , (comma). since then I can use Excelformuals I find on the web.. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Pro-Tipps for basically every software/postproduction/motiongraphics situation/issue, google in English. And after two minutes use Bing and ask twice, sometimes it makes mistakes. But… for example.. was able to get a working Expression solution for something I been been googling without success after a few back and forths and testing. 🖖🏽🍀

*GREAT VIDEO!* Could you create a mini-part tutorial series on: How you would first do this for older AE versions 1) Create the Excel CSV, 2) Create the AE Template 3) Create the JSX script to perform the operations. How you would create a MOGRT for newer AE versions that support MOGRTs 1) Create NFL MOGRT to allow one to easily customize as shown in this video. It is really nice to see what can be done using these methods BUT we need to know HOW. Please keep up the great work!!

Each script will have to be custom built in order to match cvs entries to the matching Master Property, or do you have a method to loop through Master Properties and return their names?

@ukramedia, BTW, I use the .tsv tip you had in another tutorial (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4vPf6N7l916pdU) all the time. I find using the .tsv can be easier because some places I work don't have Excel installed on the editing computer, but there is always a basic text editor. I did a very text heavy promo piece recently, where I put each phrase on its own line in the .tsv and then set up my comps as needed. When it went to review and they had wording changes, I just opened my tsv file, updated and boom. Done. So, thank you immensely for that!
