How an open MRI machine looks like

Exactly..I start to panic just watching this..I'm scheduled for back to back 3 different MRI...I'm not sure if I can handle it..I wish it was more like a CT scan..I have no issues w ct

I do not consider this an open MRI. I still do not understand, we can send men to the moon and back, but they cannot figure out an MRI to configure that will not stress most people out.

It's still very closed in and oppressive. Its having something so close to the face that freaks people out. Its the coffin lid effect.

I just had an mri and was scared beforehand , my mri was for my lower back . When i got there they put me in the machine feet first ( opposite of what you see in this video ) which was amazing because my head was out pretty much and my feet were also out on the other side . I think if you have it for brain then it might look like what you see in this video but atleast the lower back was different . Hope it helps people with anxiety

My pediatric neurologist never prescribed me an MRI before so the first mention of an MRI had me frightened that I refused the scan I know I’m Healthy but 20 years ago I had a CT scan done by my dad on an older style GE CT scanner it was a square shape with the tunnel or hole in the middle and the display and the controls were on the left and right side of the machine

In the Mighty dear sweet Name of dear JESUS I am so afraid of this machine still. I still feel closed in watching this method as well.

I know what you mean ! When i entered the room i was like : Cool ! Piece of cake. Then once you are underneath it feels the same. You have no sense of openness at all.
