Had the pleasure of listening to Tommy telling us this story at Hayfield over 20 years ago. Great bloke who spent the full day with us putting us all on some fish. I seem to recall he went on to say that he double dry netted the following year? Please correct me if I’m wrong 🧐

Ivan Marks started me on fishing but Tom I would say is my favourite angler, Anglers Mail replaced my Dandy comic, I never won anything big just club matches but loved the sport back then when guys like Tom were at the top.
