You put a lot of effort into your videos. You have content that appeals to a ton of folks. I subscribed a few months ago. I hope it really takes off and you can get some revenue out of it. Good luck brother. From L.A. (Lower Alabama).

Man, was that ever a trip down memory lane, and not even my pictures. Done a bit of cat training on the slope and still do some in gold mining here in Alaska, but mostly use Nodwells now. Done some "fishing" like that with the poles on a big KW for cold, wet equipment too. A bit of gas field, some coil tubing support but too old for anything but the memories and the music. Thank you Jerrold, I really enjoyed this one. Made me think of happier times.

Good stuff man, I’m from up North too (Toad R), have been all over the Yukon, moved south to Fox V. for work around the same time you did. I did slickline among other jobs for many years, remember Howards, Radium, had alot of family who worked for Command, got my Class 3 almost 20 years ago, got out of wireline around 2011 and have been on owner/operator of a picker truck ever since. Neat to see how much our careers have in common. And GP sure has grown.. lol

thats cool to hear, how did you stick it out so long in slickline? i couldn't stay awake while running in and out. snooze fest, but i guess that's life of tool hand. if i was the operator just a touch more exciting......slickline was my first job where i legally drove. love the toad river restaurant. tons of kid memories with my dad, wicked hat collection.

Same for me was pretty muched raised in a truck. My old man been trucking since 1971. I was born 1983. When I was 2yrs old I lost my two front teeth jumping from passenger seat to driver seat. Missed the seat landed face first in the steps. Sleeping on floor listening to the engine transmission. Remember going trucking more then going to school. Everytime I apply for a job. I always say diesel runs threw my veines

Hey man thanks for sharing, I envy the slice of Canada you've terrorizing! Grew up in T.O. but spent my summer's in Thunder Bay, this is wear my fascination with big trucks started. I was born 30 yrs too late, my grandfather owned Northern Wood Preservers so I missed a golden opportunity to work in that industry. Your Channel is awesome and the effort you put in clearly shows, wicked tunes too got to have the BPM's while driving! 😜Your concerns about repetitive content works well for Dim Witts like me that know F All about trucking, so your Oil Patch/Winche Trucking lingo is freaking perfect my friend! Keep up the great work man, I see Discovery Network in your future!! 🤑🤙😎

i think discovery channel might ruin it, worth a shot tho, i drove by thunder bay once after doing some work in quebec. it was a one shot opportunity and ive never been really past winnipeg, not much to see on these prairies, always down for a journey to a place i never been, i too wish i was maybe 20 years earlier for the trucking scene, was a lot harder stuff back then, what we do in a day now would take all week back in the 70s, but it was more brotherhood and not so watered down buy horrible drivers and rate cutters that screw everyone just to get their foot in the door, i enjoy my work still, putting up with other drivers is going to be the end of me tho

@@TimelapseTruckerRTOT I so agree, it's not the work it's the people running but business! Given my demographic I chose the Automotive Service industry, working from Service advisor up to my glory of Service manager at a Porsche Dealership in downtown T.O. Fixing shit is easy replace it ( these days) Its the people that are involved that are the variable you really can't control!! lmfao But that's the part I like just taking ownership of a problem and helping them out no matter how Big A Dick (they don't have) 🤭 I even had a few spring time relocates myself, best was Roadside Assistance for CAA really wish I'd done that to 20 yrs earlier when I was single!! 😜 Hey you certainly know your business so you know there's a "paradigm shift" happening in the oil business thanks to humanity. I have NO Idea how it will effect the trucking aspect of things, but I hope it's positive, the more work the better!! 😊 🤙

It's a trek to get to the big stuff but well worth it if you love it. I had a taste of the bigger stuff, gave it up after a bad accident in 2013. Thought I was a failure at trucking. Didnt truck again for a few years. At it nowadays but mainly just highway, not to keen on the oilfield stuff so much now. Kudos to you and keep safe.

@@TimelapseTruckerRTOT that it is. I run general freight on flatdecks now along with an equipment trailer. Only oilfield i do is misc supplies and structural steel to kearl lake, cnrl or suncor as well as moving frac valves for schlumberger from shop to shop for them in alberta/bc. Im having better luck and income using a load board and going thru brokers, although its a pain in the ass to. Cant win easily in trucking.

Hey bro I feel you and understand your feelings and situations. I just had to shut er down after 43 years of many Different Trucking and Trailer Combinations, Long Loads, Off Highway Loads, Over Sized Logging, Hauling Over Sized and Over Length Loads Long Hauls all over North America, across Northern Canada coast to coast when I started at 17 and didn't even have a Driver License lol. I worked for Haliburton Services in the far North before I got my Class One & Air Driver's License, True. Over these years of Trucking and Operating Heavy Equipment, I have had 25 Large Surgeries. Broke my neck, back, twice, 2 separate comas, and surgery on literally just about every part of my body and up to 4 surgeries on one shoulder alone. Nature of the beast or bad luck or possibly no patience, and always in a hurry was the cause. Many broken bones all over more times than I can remember over and over. Someone was watching over me, as I never ever missed much work and I don't know how, but I didn't have even have one DISABILITY. At 61, I had to take a early retirement because I just couldn't do it anymore. It's not the pain I suffer that bothers me, but not being able to do what I loved to do since I was 17 is a huge pill to swallow. Having my own trucks and trailers in many different applications, like Logging, Long Haul , Oil and Gas, Transportation Industry, was exciting and very rewarding. I don't have one regret and would do everything all over again. Trucking all over North America and I feel I was blessed to meet awesome and interesting, helpful cool people and I had a chance to see awesome things I never would have. In the 43 years I can honestly say that I never ever had one accident. I'm not bragging but I do believe something or someone was watching over me, because I sure did have quite a few Fatal Accidents, and should have died, but I didn't. Sold the entire fleet and shut er down in March of 2023. I may grab something part time, point to point because I already missing the Trucking Industry. Going to start living the dream now because I made many sacrifices, and I have many things I enjoy to do. As you all know Trucking isn't for everyone. Its hard work, away from home, and many sacrifices we make. I found so many Trucker Friends and actually I have never ever met a Truck Driver I didn't like, and I sincerely liked and enjoyed everything and everyone in the Trucking Industry. My advice to you, my Fellow Truck Drivers, be safe, be prepared, never drive tired, and never ever hurry for no one or nothing, be kind and don't put up with anyone's Bullshit. You are always number one and never forget this.. Shiny side up and keep on Trucking Safely. Cheers Dave Calgary Alberta Canada 😎🤘😎

Only had 2 wrecks while I was there. One was someone suicide head on one of our trucks, the other a guy was following too close in the dust and rear ended another driver, I guess there was a third some knob in a pickup was turning around on a S curve blindly and our truck came around the corner and broad sided him….. could stop on ice
