Hi thanks for your video! It looks like the bucket you used was galvanized. Is there any concern for it imparting zinc etc into the buckskin or fur when using it for smoking? I am used to smoking my hides with a pit but live in a rental so bucket seems to be the best option currently. Thanks so much!

Meat smoking forums seem to advise against it for the reason you proposed but apparently the melting and boiling points of zinc (787 and 1665 Fahrenheit respectively) are far above the temperatures that some coals and punk wood would create, so not much of a risk there. It should be fine.
