tlig that’s a good point and as an boxer myself that can get distracting if they’re not the best coach but McCracken’s able to see things at such a rapid rate that everything he says is brilliant, sound advice. If it was from him I’d love it

Fuck You Budday that’s for sure. Come to think of it he’s one of the most under appreciated figures in british boxing. Drove Froch’s career, head’s GB and of course AJ now and despite AJs limited natural talent and lack of long years in the sport he’s worked wonders with him. Was a decent pro himself in his time as well

Jamie Bushby that’s straight facts. And I’m sure Rob would’ve trained AJ the same way he did the second fight if Ruiz was his set opponent in the first fight. Cause styles make fights. And AJ beefed up and prepped for Miller, not Andy. AJ came in with a form and physical capabilities to fight Miller, not Ruiz. But he lost and it’s all good cause he bounced back

Well said my friend. It was just nob heads showing their lack of morality by saying what they would do. AJ is a man of good character and great morals and that is why I have always supported him and will continue to do so. Wilder is the polar opposite and could learn a lot from AJ.

Worse part is how everyone blames him that AJ lost to Ruiz but forgot that it was also thanks to Rob who helped AJ achieved everything thus far which includes defeating whyte, obtaining his world champion status by easily defeating Charles Martin, then beating others like Wladmir, Joseph Parker all of which made him gain all those big belts and successful defences against Povetkin and other big tough boxers. I can't remember what the saying was but it's one of those where it doesn't matter how much you achieved and contributed, the moment when something fails suddenly you're all bad, everything is your fault, you are being hated etc. I'm so glad that AJ stuck with him and AJ was a great man, pretty much telling people to lay off from him, not his fault, he is a great trainer and he is keeping him and on that day there wasn't anyone to blame at all and Ruiz was just the better man. It's really good to see rob does what he can and AJ in return respects and believes in Rob. Ultimately we saw the results, AJ winning the rematch which we didn't hear from those people again where they should be thankful that Rob helped and contributed to AJ success in the second fight.

This win is still so underated. AJ was a pro with only 18 fights fighting a future hall of famer with 68 fights under his name. Also that version of Klitschko was one of his best versions I have seen of him even at the age of 41 and he came in with a good gameplan using all his experience, and almost pulled of the win. What AJ had to overcome in the 5th and 6th rounds for an inexperienced pro was incredible. It really was a fight for the ages.

@sc00bydoo10 I'd be interested to hear why you think he's overrated. He's an olympic gold medalist and is among Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and Floyd Patterson to have reclaimed his world heavyweight title. He's much more technically gifted than Wilder and I think he could beat Wilder in a head-to-head. Fury is extremely skilled and has an excellent chin, so I really don't know who would win. I honestly don't think Fury could bully AJ like he did Wilder, and AJ's combinations could prove troubling to Fury. Would be a great fight regardless.

It's quite simple, when have you seen him act any different? Look at the people he has around him? When have you seen him giving it the large one? Just go by what you see, no point inventing stuff, treat the guy how you would want a stranger to treat you, who never met you in person. Compare him to the shyt you see come out of Wilders mouth, this boy just wants to represent Watford where he grew up, and is open about when he was being an arsehole, ant the end of the day the kid has has less than 25 fights and has 4 belts with one pro loss, credit where it's due.

I've always said that Heavyweights are different. So much if it is on job training. It's not like any other weight where the power or speed differential is going to be roughly the same and the depth of knowledge is greater. Other weights can find that optimal sparring and can be bought along in the amateurs or pros with the right fight at the right time. If you have the speed and power at heavy you're standing out to a degree and can dominate without learning the well rounded fundamentals or having the right learning fights the way a middleweight with great technique but limited power will. AJ appears robotic but has the heart and work ethic to get what he needs from his career.

George Dolman it kind of does though. He’s up there with the greats. A more balanced view can easily see that. Therefore when it’s not acknowledged, you can see how that ca impress as hate or jealousy. IJS

AJ has had to work and work and work to get where he is so many different training techniques and world class fitness center at his disposal and got to the top which is an amazing achievement...but just show how much of a natural fighter and freak of nature that Tyson fury has, started his career in a caravan and had non of these luxuries and still won every belt available. Both amazing athletes with completely different roads to the top love them both

Started at age 18. Most boxers mentally developed from kids. AJ learning on the job and listens to his trainers. I think after Usyk loss he needs to make adjustments. Needs a Great cardio trainer. And added trainer that's a legend . Maybe American trainer. Rob McCracken has plateu with Joshua. AJ needs something fresh. He needs that old spite and Tiger back

AJ, u can set as many foundations as u which to but the choices your son makes is in the lap of da gods. AJ's up bringing was tough, with fewer opportunities as he is hoping to create for his son and he (AJ) is hungry to succeed and grow.

Ive realized how stupid it is to imply Joshua was ever ducking Wilder after auditing Wilders resume (All bums except for Stiverne and Ortiz) + Joshua fought Klitschko, an old Klitshko sure but he was still dangerous as we saw.. Really Joshua's resume compared to Wilder is miles apart

Rob McCracken is a fantastic coach
@audialiastt2601
@audialiastt2601 4 жыл бұрын
Technical aspect of McCracken is far to stiff, rigid and restrictive. He needed to be more like water. After Ruiz 1, I believe he is heading in da right direction. AJ was carrying to much bulk to flow and control the pase and tempo. Nothing wrong with "falling in" as long as u can counter or slip. A right hand sometimes needs to stretch forward or "lean in" other wise punches fall short. AJ's right hand falls short all of da time.

Say what you want about aj but at the very least he is dedicated, trains the right way and has the heart of a lion. The real tests for AJ are gonna come from Usyk and Fury. I would like to see Joshua rematch whyte at some point tho.

There’s a lot of haters of AJ and Klitchco here. It really is sad. AJ is one of the top 3 active heavyweights, period. “Dr. Steelhammer” gave one of his better showings in this loss. This fight could have gone either way. Both fighters were in big trouble during portions of this fight. A lot of other fighters ducked Vladimir, even after he turned 40. I watched this fight and a few others with AJ. The one thing that really impresses me is the way he learns. Almost every fight after this he looked markedly better as he went on. A lot of very good heavyweights change very little throughout their career. If you really watch him, it’s like watching a different boxer with each fight. This was one of the better heavyweight fights I’ve ever seen.
