The first tournament still had the best presentation. Face cam on all games. Team logo in spectate. Highlights and funny/remarkable moments. (Now it’s only highlights). End zone replay with team audio. Of course the improved spectate mode nowadays is better. But in presentation for the viewer it hasn’t improved imo. (Yeah only on twitch with multi view maybe) but on KZbin it’s not better than the first tournament

Back on complexity, Gibby was actually Lou's idea. He created the Gibby meta, and as it went on he definitely remained the best Gibby in the world imo. Most accomplished Gibby is obviously reps but Lou was in a class of his own. This continued well into the SEN days, fell apart with seer killing Gibby meta

Great video! Missed opportunity to show the iconic clip of Hal counting the 6 simultaneous Valk ults out of lava city after Valk joined the meta. So glad we're out of the gibby bubble lottery, the game is in such a good place right now for variety comps, love getting hyped for a fuse team.

This was very well done, it will be interesting to see you make an updated one again in a few years. I think we're finally about to move into an era where teams are more inclined to counter pick their comps based on what they are expecting in lobbies. We have enough semi redundant legends that you have some flexibility with your legend choice while covering the necessary basics. Especially if they refine this new evo shield system to be more interesting than it is with fewer dead options, we could see some really cool meta gaming going on from game to game.

@@AblazeFPS1 Yes, so talented that they need aim assist while competing as professionals. lol this is the equivalent to pro basketball players using a hoop 40% bigger, pro baseball players hitting softballs, or pro bowlers using bumpers. when i learned what evo shields were i literally stopped for a moment THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT STAT in a BR game, which is your hp (shield amount), is gated by SKILL AND ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME? coming from warzone, that shit was nuts, a BR that actually had skill in its items and not just random luck for you spawning on the item? evo shields were probably the single best change in any battle royale since their inceptions

Apex was the greatest game of all time. Less legends, less ability focused, more focused on the game itself and not content gimmicks. But, then again, you guys asked for it. "whine whine whine give us more content, more maps, more guns, more legends, more abilities, whine whine whine." Well. look where we are now. The game is atrocious. Unplayable, stressful, and soul destroying. I quit apex a month ago and have literally never been happier.
