Hi Dr Griggs thank you for your help, can you also make a video about what's near future promising drugs to be approve er pr positive her2 negative breast cancers? Is there any medication coming for this type please? Thank you❤
@yerbba5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. We've been hesitant to have videos about newer therapies because our videos live on our channel indefinitely. This means that anything that is out of date can cause problems for our subscribers. For example, if a drug looks promising in initial studies and then is found to be ineffective or harmful, we could confuse people and give them information that they find harder to trust. In general, the treatments for ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer are far ahead of treatment for other types of breast cancer in part because this is the most common type of breast cancer. The data are mature and rich for this type of breast cancer although, of course, we're always trying to do better.

I saw something on my pathology report that says best blockers: D2, D5. What are those?
@yerbba5 ай бұрын
These are markers that are being tested in animal studies to see if drugs that can block these might improve outcomes, first in mice, and perhaps down the road in people.

The only one of those antibody drugs I've heard of is Mogamulizumab,a bit of a month full!, and it's used to treat the rare T Cell Lymphomas called Mycosis Fungoides and Sezary Syndrome and probably other related T Cell Lymphomas too like PCTL NOS .

Very very informative videos u r making Alao can you make ki67 role in reaccurance tnbc many thanks
@yerbba5 ай бұрын
In people with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the ki67 level does not play a major role in either treatment or outcomes. The test is more helpful in distinguishing between higher and lower risk of ER-positive and/or PR-positive breast cancer.
