It isn’t. Eagle Artillery isn’t even the strongest weapon anymore past TH14. Armies just are usually much stronger than bases, especially with all the new pets and equipment. Not to mention not all the defense levels are available yet for TH 17.

Well its because most of the offensive power is in Equipment, which you can almost have Maxed at Lower TH lvls, you gain maximum army capacity at th15, maximum spell capacity at th 10 or 11 (not sure), all 4 heroes at th 13 Troop Levels and like 5 Hero lvls per th dont give a meaningful boost in offensive power whereas defense does get A LOT stronger per th lvl, relative speaking at the very least. So yeah theres your answer

Blacksmith actually upgrades the hero abilities, or rather makes them changeable! Cool idea, it’s become the single most pay to win part of the game (in the sense that there’s NO way to ever farm em all to max) but if you pick your favorite 2 for each hero, you can max them for sure

And the hero altar change I think was just to remove some buildings and keep it at 100 total buildings? I don’t love the new system but it’s not the biggest deal

I 3 starred a th17 at barely new th17. Im not sure if its because the guy had a bad base design or maybe attack wasnt bad. I did have potions tho for troops & heroes

I attacked dozens of high level war bases that have defences 'unplaced on the war layout' bases. People really ignore war bases and just max the multiplayer village

I have pictures of this guys base I just attacked in war, he was missing so much ljke he was a max th17 basically on his actual base when you visit him, but in war he was missing so many buildings defensive included. Found it odd

Th17 is way too weak, I’m a full max th17 and get easily 70-80% each defense in titan regardless of army and that’s with a very solid base design.

Most th17s are weak because of the initial overall strength loss after merging the EA with the town hall, but that might change as th17s are mostly new and have mostly only gotten about 12 defence upgrades rn
