I had a Narcissistic Uncle on my Dad's side of my family and remember the horrors he had done. He was only afraid of my Grandfather and my Great Grandmother was a source of his ego. After they both passed away, he only help my Granny to get her benefits and home care but I was his target of his abuse and he played rough with me while I was little and he was bossy when I was a Teenager and he treated me like a criminal while I was trying care for my Granny when she had Dementia. Just before she passed away, he undermined my Granny's will and had taken full control of her estate leaving his sisters and my dad without any say. Later when my Granny passed away, he just turned up at her place and told me that I must leave by the end of the week. There were times I was scared for my life from him too so I find it merciful that an escape was found and I took it. Plus my Dad's side of my family knows that I disowned my Uncle.

Very astute, David, I appreciate your compassionate psychological evaluation of the boys, especially Eric. Neither seems to understand that their father brought all this on himself. Eric continues the same MO he learned from his father, to rant, lie and attack, which shows a dangerous lack of emotional maturity. Growing up with extreme narcissistic abuse has done a number on all of them. I also grew up with narcissistic parents. @@tarotbythebay Boat life has its drawbacks. The good part was that with so many boats here raising money for the local schools, it made a huge difference to local families. We even have one boat owner here that gave a concert…Jay Allen Chattaway, an Emmy winning composer. He has written a lot for “Star Trek” and some years ago (along with his wife) towed our boat into a safe anchorage when we ran into problems. Internet is improving because many of the boaters have made the run to Zihuatanejo for Sailfest, which raises money for those local schools. By the way, at the end of “Shank Shaw Redemption” when the two men meet on the beach in Zihuatanejo ….it was not a beach in Zihuatanejo. I was really disappointed the first time we landed our dinghy on that beach, but it looked NOTHING like the movie scene.
