Hey there my brother! Normally I’d definitely use that tree as firewood but we are going to hand it over to the loggers. We can get at least 2k for it! That awning is worth every penny as well, definitely a game changer for this coming winter. Hope ur doin awesome!!

We had 3 huge douglas fir, about 12 DBH, all right next to each other fall down at once during a huge wind storm and water logged soil, some years back, just south of ya!!

Wow that’s a massive tree. Great shelter for the trailer, it does provide so many benefits. Were your ears burning this week? Walking through a stand of trees I saw a widow maker. It’s crazy because that tree is somewhat small compared to most of the trees on the property! I am really glad they came down though as it was something we had to worry about when we were walking around it and I definitely didn’t want anybody to get hurt. So glad that it’s raining there now!! That is a huge blessing in itself! As far as the awning, that is a huge game changer for us, especially during the winter time. Always more projects to do though but it’s a give-and-take. It’s the life that we choose just like y’all and we take the good with the bad.. Blessings to you and Glenn !!

you should get a water 5000 gallon water tank and some gutters on your new shelter and harvest the rain water as well, also looking at the wind and rain you get I would be securing that new shelter to the ground as best as I could otherwise that is a giant sail waiting to take off

We were thinking about getting a larger water tank, but honestly, honestly, this was just supposed to be a temporary situation while we worked on building the house. Most of our water comes from a crick that runs through the property. Most definitely that shelter is anchored down more times than I could probably count!!

Glad the tree did not fall near you guys. Nice job on the RV covering. How is the noise level in your RV when it rains on the roof of the covering? Rain is so important out here in California. We had some good amount of rain last season, but our government never built anything to capture the overflow. Instead, they spent tons of money on a stalled bullet train project that may never be built. Hope you family are doing well. Take a long shower.

I hear you on the rain down south and it’s unfortunate that Gavin Newsom is spending money on the wrong places … He is not the brightest!!
