This Harvard Medical School Continuing Education video examines the key question: how are youth screened for anxiety?
Dr. Erica Lee, PhD, discusses the Pediatric Symptom Checklist (PSC) and next steps that are indicated when the PSC uncovers symptoms of anxiety. More focused screening tools include the Screen for Child Anxiety-Related Disorders (SCARED) and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7). She indicates how these screening tools relate to helping families form a treatment plan.
Dr. Lee is an instructor in psychology at Harvard Medical School, and this video is part 9 in the 21-part series: Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
