My grandpa used to walk more than one hour on dirt roads to get to school. So that is partually true. About that English part though, my grandparents learnt Russian in school instead. English only became a important subject in China with my parents' generation. And about stabbing the rubber with a pencil, yeah I did that when I was 10 so I laughed at that really hard

My high school handed out detention pretty liberally to the point that every time you didn't attend it doubled. Since I rarely attended detention or stayed the full time I must have racked up thousands of hours. It was a dumb system, You would get detention for being late to class, because you were in detention.. because it was illegal in Australia to deprive students of recess and lunch breaks, not that it stopped teachers from trying.

Veery disappointing... Hired the guy who mows his lawn toDAY, some guy named shredder, to get his fucking turtle soup _BACK!_ You see, he didn't eat his supper, so his mom said *_"You never eating again till you eat the food I parted the red sea to get for you, you ungrateful sun!!"_* so he still hasn't eaten, even after 30 years. So many relatable jokes. The pencil breaking, going flying, and stabbing the eraser. Getting detention and no time passing. I also loved the references to cancel culture, people identifying as something ridiculous, and people getting offended at something they have no right to. Shout-out to fake karate class scams, as well. As a kid, I was in a class taught by some nutjob named Mike Carr, who insisted we all call him "Mr. Mike". I have a bunch of stories about him. The "A Fan", "An A/C Unit", and "The Wind" thing was great, too.

But they identified as planets, not pigeons, and got detention as a concept erased from sentient memory. oml our class just finished a book call a long walk to water. So basically there was a war going on for water and this kid has to cross lakes with alligators walk through places with LIONS and go days without food and water. This is a true story btw and it totally reminded me of this 😂
