My paternal aunty belongs from BPL family. She had critical health condition and had a mild heart attack. She is from a small village near Guwahati, Assam and had to be moved to Guwahati for treatment. The only hope was treatment in GMCH, the best gov hospital in Guwahati. But she couldn't afford hospitalisation costs since she was to be admitted in ICU. Her sons also do odd jobs so financially not much capable. The only thing that helped her was this Ayushman card. Surely it has a lot of scope for improvement. But it has been a blessing for such people.

It is good initiative by govt but there are some improvement required! Problem is that it works depending upon the hospital mood sometimes they accept and sometimes not! Govt should bring medical system like USA and encourage people to buy health insurance, and law should be accordingly neither patients nor hospitals should be suffered!!!

The biggest drawback is that if there are less than 5 people in the house then it will not be possible, for this there should be more than five people in the family. Now, the biggest problem for those whose family is small or whose population has been controlled is this. There is no Ayushman card

It takes 2-3 mins to complete the process of transaction through ayushman card.. faster than any insurance companies..now all it depends on the hospital whether they are doing it right or not. Govt is doing its part without hesitation. But some hospitals are not worthy.. i got its benefits and thankful to the govt.

Only one point. The budget for Ayushman Bharat is just Rs 7,500 crore and for P M Kisan Yojana is Rs 60,000 crore. The government spends a lot more money for distribution to farmers than healthcare for 50 crore Indians.

I am from uttar Pradesh..... and yes it is beneficiary for me ,....my Nani had a problem in the eye due to which she was loosing her eyesight and operation cost was around 1-1.5 lakh rs.....but she had a aayushman Card....we went to the good hospitals of our area and when my nani shows her aayushman card...... Hospital verified it and operation took place after 2 weeks.... it's a case of December near Christmas 2023.... Listen iam not saying this will benefit everyone who own this card....it also depend on your State and local hospitals..... sometimes hospitals find it difficult to get lot of money above cure bill....so they refused to accept...yes but I would say that hospital should come under this scheme... government has tried but so called heath care companies and hospitals make it difficult to pursue..

People are wrongly informed that coverage is 5lakh.. the price for a particular disease is fixed.. example suppose cessarean packega is 15000. In which hospital needs to cover medicine, ot charges, staff charges etc.. that is why they avoid doing those patients... Some disease are not covered.. they need to get it like private insurance companies in which they have fair pricing and good coverage
