I can list a host of reasons of why bad cops with criminal backgrounds slip through the cracks and get hired but the ultimate reason is the lack of accountability. You can have all of the protocols, policies, laws in place on the hiring of officers but if there are no consequences for not following them then they are mere suggestions and police departments can do what they want. If you notice the Sheriff that made the ultimate decision to hire Sean has not stepped down nor has he been removed by the City Council. The deputy that was in charge of Sean's background check, interviews, etc., and recommending him for hire has not been fired. There is zero accountability when it comes to hiring bad cops. Cops have no incentive to do complete background checks or to if they do them they are free to ignore what they want.

Another great video explaining the deficiencies that are prevalent in law enforcement agencies across the nation. I agree that most of these bad traits cannot be trained out of officers. Thanks so much for your insight and wisdom in bringing these shortcomings of law enforcement to light. Looking forward to your continued insights. Thanks again.

Explained deficiencies.... exposed good ole boys unity.....Mr. Aubrey had police comforting them....then sent them on their lovely way.... while the District Attorney swept it away as unnecessary investigation was just a legal murder by three white armed racists killing a jogger who happened to be black. Deficiencies of weeding out a racist given the authority to use lethal force to protect the police reputation and the Americans public. Question ❓ do you think this will be the last time an unarmed black person who have rights as a American? Or explain deficiencies will continue?

Everything I hear about this murderous cop strongly suggests, at the very least, an adrenaline junkie. He defied an order to stop pursuing a car for a minor traffic violation. He turned off his lights and siren and continued anyway. He only stopped when a deer hit his car. The entire incident shows him ramping up the risks from beginning to end. But when he's calm his affect is very flat. He shows no remorse for his actions even for that incident that made him lose his position or for police reports he's falsified that have made him an unreliable witness. And none for the ultimate escalation. Low affect and lack of remorse plus the compulsive need to ramp up adrenaline often equals psychopath. If I, a crippled elderly woman, can put that together so easily, where were the law enforcement superiors who must have had some minimal training in recognizing the red flags for personality disorders? I makes me feel like police departments really are as stupid as many people contend they are. What other conclusions am I supposed to draw? If the folks vetting the behavior of what must be probationary hires can't identify broken brains ( the dysfunctional amygdalas ) of someone who needs adrenaline to feel anything at all or the self-entitlement combined with contempt for everyone else of a malignant narcissist, no wonder they seem to think that they can be trained out of their flaws. These two are a birth defect and an internal defense of an adult pathological child, respectively. The notion that they can be trained out of someone is beyond ridiculous. Racism is a particularly nasty form of narcissism. Read up on it. Add nepotism and cronyism to the mix and you get a local police force peppered with bombs waiting to go off with random triggers. But I have a question about something I noticed on the body cam footage the first time I watched it, but nobody else has mentioned it, so maybe I'm misperceiving it. When Sonjya Massey takes the pot off the burner I'd swear I saw and heard her beginning to pour the hot water down the sink. If you do that too fast the steam can burn you, so she pauses after a moment to allow some of the steam to drain away before pouring more out. She never resumes disposing of the hazard because she's too busy on the floor trying to figure out how to keep from being killed. It's really difficult for her to comply with orders to drop something she is not holding. I, myself, believe she tried reach the pot to put IT down on the floor, desperately trying to obey the nonsensical screams directed towards her. But no one could. He's demonstrated what happens when he feels an adrenaline rush. I believe he held his gun on his victim for so long after killing her, just to savor the moment. He may have told his back up not to render aid simply because he enjoyed seeing the distress on the man's face and once again, wants to deepen it. But back to my question. Did anyone besides me see and hear Sonjya start to dump the water down the sink?

Did you have to take the wonderlic aptitude test to become a cop? I head PD want cops that score in the upper 20s to mid 30s. One man applying was told his score was too high and so he was overqualified. He took it to court and loss then took it to the Supreme Court and they too said the Department is allowed to discriminate against smart people applying because they had an acceptable excuse. The excuse was that over qualified people “smart” people end up quitting and they invest a lot of time and money into trying officers. To protect their investments, they hire cops that are less likely to quit later. This man did not believe that was the reason. Bad cops bring massive lawsuit and erode trust in police and the public is less likely to help out or cooperate when asked. I think bad cops bring in more money that hood cops because they are willing to trample over citizens rights to seize cash and assets to pad the pockets of the department to buy newer toys to use on us. It was also stated that smart cops to kill unarmed and or cuffed people for little to no reason, they don’t cause traffic accidents on purpose, they don’t over ticket or over arrest by going out to creat problems, they don’t ignore their superiors when they tell them no or don’t engage in a high speed chase after being told to it’s too dangerous dangerous for the public. Smart cops don’t use illegal choke holds then when the person says they can’t breath the cop says if your talking, you can breath, and this is AFTER Eric Garner cops will still say and do this crap on the job. Smart cops don’t shoot people in the face and say get up. They don’t pile on a person 10 strong and tell the person stop resisting after their dead or unconscious. They don’t punch you in the face handcuffed simply because you’re a big tall person saying I’m innocent too loudly. Smart cops don’t do a lot of things but they don’t hire cops that are too smart and the excuse given is a lie. They just bring the department more money at the expense of the trust of the citizen in ties they don’t even live in and lucky enough to not have to run into after their abuse of the citizens. They don’t have to worry about running into any of the parents or spouses they kill or see their fatherless kids trying to carry on without the person they kill. Police in the US is horrible as is.
